Taurus Trio G Insecticide
Taurus Trio G Insecticide is a granular Insecticide containing Fipronil, Bifenthrin, and Lambda Cyhalothrin. It is designed for lawns, turfgrass, and landscape areas. Taurus is especially effective in controlling red imported fire ants. Delivers a quick knockdown and long residual effect.
This product is a Restricted Use Product (RUP) and requires a Certified Applicator's License to purchase.
Taurus Trio G Insecticide, manufactured by Quali-Pro, is a granular insecticide containing three powerful active ingredients: Fipronil, Bifenthrin, and Lambda Cyhalothrin.
This combination comes in one uniform granule to deliver a quick knockdown and a lengthy residual to control common insects like fire ants, mole crickets, nuisance ants, fleas, and ticks. Use it as a mound, perimeter, or boundary application to get impressive insect control all season long.
Tools Needed
You will need a granular spreader to broadcast the granules evenly over the treated area. Either a hand spreader or push spreader will suffice.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Taurus Trio G Insecticide you need by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). A typical treatment of Taurus Trio G is 2 pounds of granules per 1,000 square feet. If you have a 3,000-square-foot area to be treated, you would need between 6 pounds of Taurus Trio G.
- Step 2: Load the appropriate amount of Taurus Trio G into your broadcast spreader, making sure it has been calibrated to the proper spreader setting based on your brand (see the label for details).
- Step 3: Apply the Taurus G granules to the treatment area, ensuring even coverage. Do two pass-throughs perpendicular to one another to get a more uniform spread. Water lightly immediately after applying.
Where to Use
Taurus Trio G Insecticide can be used for applications to golf courses, residential, commercial, and industrial areas, cemeteries, parks, campsites, schools, sports fields, sod farms, and landscape beds.
When to Use
This product should be applied when insects first appear or when pest damage has been noticed. The granules should be applied when the grass is dry.
Safety Information
Taurus Trio G Insecticide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying this product.
Keep people and pets out of treated areas for at least 24 hours after application.
Special Considerations
While Taurus Trio G Insecticide is labeled for a few other insects, it is mainly meant to treat fire ants. If you are looking to treat other turf insects like chinch bugs or sod webworms, try a granular insecticide with a broad label, such as Bifen LP.
Taurus Trio G is available only in increments of 80 bags. If you're looking for a lower-quantity option, check out Taurus G fipronil granules. These do not include bifenthrin and Lambda Cyhalothrin, but they can be ordered by the bag at an economical price.
