Supreme IT Insecticide
Supreme IT Insecticide
Supreme IT is a bifenthrin insecticide concentrate designed for broad-spectrum control of over 70 insects. It does not stain or have an odor. When dried, it will continue to control pests for up to 90 days and is safe for pets and kids. Formerly known as Reclaim I/T.
Supreme IT Insecticide, manufactured by Solutions Pest & Lawn, is an effective broad-spectrum insecticide due to its residual effect, lasting up to 90 days. When applied to labeled areas, this product becomes a repellent to mosquitoes, cockroaches, and other pests on ornamentals, turf, and more. Upon application and after it has dried, this insecticide will kill ants and other pests in lawns and labeled areas within an hour of treatment.
This suspended concentrate contains 7.9% of the active ingredient bifenthrin, which helps make this an effective spray for mosquitoes and other pests for various outdoor surfaces like your yard and indoor surfaces without emitting a strong odor. When applied, this product kills roaches, spiders, and pests by paralyzing the central nervous system when contacted or ingested, leading to eventual death.
Supreme IT Insecticide is excellent for spraying and treating pests like fleas, ants, spiders, and mosquitoes, but it is also labeled for over 70 pest insects. A little goes a long way with Supreme IT, as its low mix rate and high performance will make it an economical choice for any pest control problem for homeowners or professionals alike.
Tools Needed
To apply Supreme IT, you will need a hose-end sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or spray rig. We recommend a handheld 1-gallon pump sprayer for small household jobs or a 4-gallon backpack sprayer.
To ensure the efficacy of your spray application, we recommend you use a surfactant like Nanotek Surfactant. When mixed with your pesticide solution, it helps the active ingredient spread and stick more easily to applied surfaces, increasing the treated surface area.
Another product to consider with this solution is an insect growth regulator like Gentrol IGR Concentrate. This product will control juvenile pests, preventing them from turning into reproductive adults and ceasing the pest's life cycle.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Supreme IT to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Do this by measuring the length and width of the treatment area in feet and then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage.) Supreme can be mixed between 0.2 and 2 fl. oz. per gallon of water. For general pest applications, we recommend 1 fl. oz. of product per 1 gallon of water to treat 1,000 sq. ft., but you can find exact rates on the product label. Divide your square footage by 1,000 to get the amount of spray you will need to use. For example, if you have 3,000 sq. ft. to treat, you will need to mix 3 ounces of Supreme I/T in 3 gallons of water (3,000/1,000 = 3.)
- Step 2: Now that you have calculated how much Supreme I/T you need to use, fill your sprayer halfway with water. Use Supreme I/T's convenient tip-and-measure bottle to measure the appropriate amount of product to put in the sprayer. Fill your tank the rest of the way with water, then shake well to mix.
- Step 3: After creating your solution, apply the Supreme IT mixture as a broadcast spray or barrier spray around structures, cracks and crevices, baseboards, or other approved methods mentioned on the label. For crack-and-crevice spraying, use a pin-stream nozzle setting to achieve precision spraying. Use a fan nozzle spray setting to achieve uniform coverage for broadcast spraying, surface spraying, or perimeter treatment.
Where to Use
Supreme IT can be used indoors or outdoors. Indoors can be used around baseboards, cabinets, windows, doors, and other crack-and-crevice areas. Outdoors it can be used as a broadcast spray on the lawn, vegetation, or around your structure's foundation, windows, doors, eaves, and plumbing/electrical openings.
This product can only be applied to and around homes, commercial and industrial buildings, recreational areas, athletic fields, lawns, and ornamentals. It is used on plants intended only for aesthetic purposes or climactic modifications and grown in interior plantscapes, ornamental gardens or parks, lawns, and grounds.
This product cannot be used on crops, sod farm turf, golf course turf, or grass grown for seed.
When to Use
Use Supreme IT when pest activity is high. For most areas of the country, this is between March and October. Depending on rain and pest severity, you will want to spray every 30 to 90 days. Supreme should kill pests in 1 to 2 days and prevent future infestations for up to 90 days.
Safety Information
Supreme IT is safe to use around pets and children when applied according to product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Keep pets and people away from the treated area until it has dried.
Special Considerations
Shake the bottle well before using. Since Supreme IT is a suspended concentrate, it can settle out once mixed in water. Because of this, we recommend that anything you mix up be used on the same day.
Supreme IT is formerly known as Reclaim I/T. Different name, same excellent product.
To help avoid overapplication in spot or broadcast treatment outdoors, we recommend you use a marking dye like Vision Blue or Vision Pro Max. These products are temporary colorants used to indicate where you have already sprayed. When mixed into your spray solution, your application will leave turf a deep blue color, reminding you where you have sprayed so you know not to apply there again.

Q:What is the difference between Bifen IT Insecticide and Supreme IT Insecticide? I can see that on the product label both have Bifenthrin- 7.9%.8/18/24A:Supreme IT is concentrated so an ounce does a gallon of water. It works on a wide range of insects, and it eliminated our spider problem. I haven't used Bifen IT but it appears to be used for termite treatment. The Supreme IT has no odor and does not stain surfaces.

Q:I need to control mosquitoes, flies and cicadas, does this product kills cicadas? How much do I apply? Can it be hooked to a hose?8/4/24A:Mosquitoes, flies, and cicadas will be eliminated with Supreme IT. Depending on the application area the rate will vary. For example to kill cicadas on ornamentals you will use 0.25 to 0.5 fl. oz. of Supreme with 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. or 10.8 to 21.7 fl. oz. of product with 100 gallons of water. A general outdoor application rate we recommend for all three pests with a hose-end sprayer or other types of spraying equipment is 1 fl. oz. of Supreme with 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft.
