How Does Price Transparency Work?
In our commitment to provide up-to-date competitive pricing, we check online pricing for products frequently. Our dedicated team of online representatives scours the internet for the most competitive pricing on products we sell. When we do, we update the price of the competitor's products in our database along with the date we have checked. We then display that price and date in our Price Transparency table so you know how recent the pricing may be. Prices shown are direct product comparisons or for comparable products.
When comparing products, we only compare pricing on the exact branded product and size. We will not compare Product A to Product B just because they have the same active ingredient. We only compare apples to apples and oranges and oranges, so to speak. This also includes saleable quantities. For instance, a product that is meant to be sold in a box of 10, will only be compared to another seller who also sells that product in a box 10. We do not price compare based on other bundle or quantity breaks.
In our goal to eliminate hidden fees, we also compare them against the NET price of an item. This will be the dollar amount you can reasonably expect to pay from that listed competitor on the last day it was checked. This means that if an online seller excludes a shipping charge from their item's price, we will factor that into our competitive pricing.
The online marketplace is constantly expanding, with new online stores popping up daily. With this in mind, we check only reputable competitors with verified products when doing our research. We do not compare against eBay or other sellers because we cannot verify authenticity of the product or the seller itself. We do, however, price compare with some Amazon listings. The price displayed for the Amazon price will show pricing from our current Amazon store price, where we are most competitive.
We work diligently, but not every competitor may be represented. If you find a competitor we have not shown in our Price Transparency, let us know, and we will begin to include them in our research.
