About Phyton Corporation

Phyton Corporation has been dedicated to supporting greenhouse growers since 1983, with a focus on developing advanced plant disease management solutions. The company originated from patented systemic chemistry developed at the University of Minnesota, initially created to combat Dutch elm disease.

This breakthrough led to the creation of Phyton 27, a systemic fungicide that utilizes the plant’s natural translocation system to move the active ingredient throughout the plant—offering protection from root to leaf. Known for its consistent performance when other treatments fail, growers soon dubbed Phyton 27 “the silver bullet.”

In 2021, Phyton Corporation was acquired by Seacole Specialty Chemical, a diversified chemical manufacturer and distributor.
