The Best Termite Injection Tools
Termite tools are specialized attachments for large spray rigs. They are designed to deliver pesticide products to areas where they will be effective against termites, such as in soil, voids beneath concrete slabs, and into the cavities in concrete block walls. When an infestation reaches the point that bait stations are no longer effective or inefficient enough, termite tools are necessary. Termite tools are not effective if used with handheld pump sprayers or backpack sprayers.
Recommendation
We recommend the B&G Robco 5-in-1 Termite Tool Kit. It’s versatile and can handle any termite treatment application. With proper maintenance, its durable construction will easily stand the test of time.

User Guide
The Robco 5-in-1 Termite Tool Set is suitable for soil treatments, applications below concrete slabs, and applications to structural voids. The Robco QCG Gun is unsuitable for a handheld pump sprayer or backpack unit. A large spray rig is required.
Soil Treatments
The 5/8-inch stainless or galvanized pipe is best suited for soil injection. Estimate the depth of soil above the footer to determine the distance the pipe will be inserted into the ground. The pipe may enter or be removed from the soil while the liquid is being applied without a problem.
Applications Below Concrete Slabs
Drill 9/16-inch holes through the slab and determine its thickness. Secure the foot ram so that the bottom of the cone seal is an additional 1 inch from the slab's tip. This allows the cone to seal the drill hole and the tip of the pipe to extend into the void between the concrete slab and the soil.
Applications to Structural Voids
The 7/16-inch by 12-inch pipe can be used for treating shallow voids. When the straight tip (void tip) is used, the splash guard should be placed between the void tip adapter and the void tip.
Inspection and Maintenance
The tools should be cleaned regularly and flushed with water after each use. It is also always a good idea to do a quick visual inspection before each use to ensure there are no obvious signs of damage that would prevent them from working.
Regular Cleaning
The tools should be flushed with clean water after every use. All seat gaskets, washers, and O-rings should be periodically inspected for wear and replaced when necessary. Refer to the included product manual for more information on disassembling your unit and checking various subcomponents.
Robco QCG Cleaning
To clean the QCG gun, unscrew the nosepiece and remove the valve seat (black gasket). Use a soft brush or cloth to clean any dirt on the shutoff valve and the gasket. Depress the trigger on the gun to replace the gasket and screw on the nosepiece.
Parts
The B&G Robco 5-in-1 Termite Tool Kit consists of a Robco QCG Gun, various tips and pipes for soil and wall void applications, a foot ram with a rubber cone seal, and a splash guard.

Robco QCG Gun
The Robco QCG Gun (Quick Change Gun) is a spray gun attachment designed for termite treatments. It can broadcast termiticide and inject termiticide into perimeter soil and the voids and soil beneath concrete slabs.
Pipes
The pipes allow for an extension from the QCG Gun so the spray can be directed into voids under concrete slabs. Drill holes should be 9/16 inch or larger to avoid damaging the 7/16 inch pipes. The pipes come in three configurations: a 5/8 inch by 40 inches galvanized steel rod with a 360-degree tip, a 7/16 inch by 40-inch stainless steel rod, and a 7/16 inch by 12-inch stainless steel rod. This grants the toolset flexibility when dealing with termites under foundations or deep in structures.
Tips
The tips attach to the end of the pipes and are the final exit point for the termiticide product. The tips in the Robco toolkit come in three configurations: a 7/16-inch by 360-degree Stainless Steel Tip, a 7/16-inch by 180-degree Stainless Steel Tip, and a 7/16-inch Stainless Steel Void Tip.
Foot Ram
When applied below a concrete slab, the foot ram is placed on the pipes, creating a seal on the drill hole.
Splash Guard
The splash guard is used when treating shallow structural voids. When using the void tip, place the splash guard on the pipe between the void tip adapter and the void tip.
Key Takeaways
- Treating for termite infestations requires specialized equipment. These termite tools will not work without a large spray rig. Backpacks and handheld sprayers will not suffice.
- Flush the tools with water after each use and clean regularly to prevent the build-up of chemical residue, which could damage your tools.
