The Air Dehumidifier Controller (H46C 1166), manufactured by Honeywell, is a durable and easy-to-use remote for controlling dehumidifiers and ventilators.
This controller helps maintain relative humidity and is used with portable and central unit dehumidifiers. It has an SPST, snap-acting switch designed for line-voltage circuits and 2 lead wires for switch box mounting.
Tools Needed
You will need a screwdriver and additional tools for mounting.
How to Install
- Step 1: Remove the setting knob and remove the cover by pulling the cover forward from the device.
- Step 2: Install a 2 in. x 3 in. (51 mm x 76 mm) vertical switch box at the selected location.
- Step 3: Using the two screws provided, fasten the adapter plate to the switch box.
- Step 4: Pull the wires from the switch box through the opening in the adapter plate and connect them to the H46 lead wires with the solderless connectors provided.
- Step 5: Push the wires back into the switch box. Place the H46 against the adapter plate, making certain the tab at the bottom of the plate fits into the notch on the unit.
- Step 6: Fasten the H46 to the adapter plate by tightening the captive screw and replace the cover and the setting knob.
