Nitrophos Imperial Lawn Fertilizer
Nitrophos Imperial Lawn Fertilizer
Nitrophos Imperial Lawn Fertilizer is a high quality all-season lawn fertilizer that helps to improve lawn health and greenery and reduces weed growth.
Nitrophos Imperial Lawn Fertlizer, manufactured by Nitro-Phos, is a granular lawn fertilizer that helps to repair St. Augustine and centipede lawns from summer and winter damages.
This gentle grass fertilizer has a core analysis of 15-5-10 and also contains 2% iron and 15% sulfur with trace elements of other helpful nutrients to enhance the health of your lawn and give it a vivid green color.
Nitrophos Imperial Lawn Fertilizer has a quick-release formulation which delivers immediate results without leaving behind a long term residual, which helps to ensure a thicker turf.
Tools Needed
To use Nitrophos Imperial Lawn Fertilizer all you need is the help of a lawn spreader to spread the granules. You could use a hand spreader or a push spreader. We recommend a push spreader to broadcast the fertilizer most efficiently.
How To Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Nitrophos Imperial Lawn Fertilizer you need for your lawn by calculating the square footage of your lawn. Do this by measuring the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). The general rate for Nitrophos Imperial is 5 lbs for every 1000 sq. ft. If you have a 2,500 sq. ft. lawn you will need 12.5 lbs. of fertilizer.
- Step 2: Load up your spreader with the appropriate amount of fertilizer granules according to label directions. Calibrate your spreader to the right spreader setting for application. The label should provide you with the proper recommendation.
- Step 3: Push the spreader from one end of the lawn to the other making sure to get an even spread. This may take about two perpendicular passes on your lawn. Don't walk too fast but walk at a more even pace.
- Step 4: Water the grass after application to wash off the grass blades and get the granules off into the soil.
Where to Use
Nitrophos Imperial Lawn Fertilizer is designed to be used only on St. Augustine and Centipede lawns.
When to Use
Use Nitrophos Imperial Lawn Fertilizer if your lawn is fading in color or has been receiving an influx of weeds. The best time to apply fertilizer is in the early spring and again in the fall.
Safety Information
Nitrophos Imperial Lawn Fertilizer is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) before applying fertilizer.
Pets and children should be kept away from the lawn until after the fertilizer and watering application has been completed and the turf is dry.
Special Considerations
Use the appropriate lawn spreader and check the label to see if Nitrophos Imperial Lawn Fertilizer is the right one for your lawn by getting your lawn's soil tested.
