Mosquito Mist Ultra is manufactured by Control Solutions Inc and is a powerful and long-lasting misting concentrate, that stands out from other concentrates as it can be used in ULV systems, mist blowers, automatic misting systems, and handheld sprayers. Mosquito Mist Ultra uses a potent mix of Permethrin and PBO to provide a quick knockdown of many common pests, such as mosquitoes and flies, but also offers a long lasting residual to kill pests on contact even after application.

Tools Needed:

To use Mosquito Mist Ultra you will need either a automatic mosquito misting system or a ULV or thermal fogger. It can also be mixed with water in a hand pump sprayer or backpack sprayer and applied as a barrier spray or surface spray in some areas. Refer to the label for the full list of application methods.

How to Use:

  • Step 1: Measure the square footage area you intend to apply to, and what application method you wish to use. This will determine how much product will need to be mixed and applied. To do this, measure (in feet) and multiply the area length times the width (length x width = square footage). The application can be diluted or undiluted and varies depending on the application method, so refer to the label for specific instructions based on your preferred application method. For example, for barrier applications using a hand sprayer, the rate is 0.126 oz. in 1 gallon of water to treat 700 to 750 sq. ft. For misting systems, the rate is 32 oz. in a 55 gallon tank for a 1:100 dilution.
  • Step 2: For diluted applications, fill your spray tank halfway with the required amount of water and then add the appropriate amount of Mosquito Mist Ultra based on your calculations. Fill the tank the rest of the way with the remaining half of water and agitate the sprayer.
  • Step 3: Apply the mist evenly in the desired area. It is most effective when applied during times when the insects are most active, and applied in a way that the mist can stay close to the ground. Reapply as needed, and as the label directs. Be sure to take the proper precautions to avoid the product drifting into non-desirable areas and do not over apply.

Where to Use:

Mosquito Mist Ultra can be applied in residential areas, industrial areas, commercial areas, urban areas, parks, campgrounds, woodlands, athletic fields, golf courses, playgrounds, recreational areas, overgrown waste areas, roadsides, corrals, feedlots, animal confinements/houses, swine lots and zoos and other areas, where adult mosquitoes and flies may be found. over lawns and gardens as a mist spray, or applied around structures as a barrier spray and surface spray.

Refer to the label for the full list of applicable areas, and instructions and precautions that need to be observed before applying.

When to Use:

It is best to apply at the beginning of the season when the insects first begin to emerge and breed. This timeframe can vary depending on what state you’re in and what the temperatures are like and what pest you are applying for.

Safety Information:

Mosquito Mist Ultra is safe to use when applied according to label directions. It is important to always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) any time you handle the chemical, measure and mix the chemical, and apply the chemical. It is also important to wear a proper respirator to protect yourself from inhaling the chemicals when they are misted.

Special Considerations:

Mosquito Mist Ultra is extremely toxic to bees and aquatic organisms. When applying it is important to avoid applying in areas where bees are foraging, and apply during the hours when the bees typically are not about.
