Monterey B.T. Insecticide Concentrate is a natural and superior biological insecticide that controls caterpillars worms and caterpillar insects on fruits, vegetables, and ornamentals.
Monterey B.T. Insecticide Concentrate, manufactured by Monterey, is a excellent OMRI insecticide concentrate that protects organic gardens from caterpillars and other worm pest.
This formulation brings a natural yet safe control through a naturally occuring soil bacterium. Once pests like cabbage loopers or tomato hornworms ingest treated foliage they will become paralyzed and immediately stop damaging plants.
Monterey B.T. Insecticide Concentrate provides gardners a thriving vegetable, fruit, and ornamental garden free of nuisance pests at various points of the year, including the day of harvest.
Tools Needed
To apply Monterey B.T. Insecticide Concentrate, you will need to use a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or hose-end sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Monterey B.T. Insecticide Concentrate to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For fruits and vegetables, use 1.5 fl. oz. of Monterey B.T. Insecticide Concentrate per 3 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For shade trees and ornamentals, apply 2 fl. oz. of product per 3 gallons of water.
 - Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add in the proper amount of Monterey B.T. Insecticide Concentrate, then pour in the remaining half of water. Close the tank lid and shake until mixed. For hose-end sprayers, add the proper amount of product then spray until the correct amount of water is mixed in. Use all of spray mixture within 24 hours.
 - Step 3: Apply Monterey B.T. Insecticide Concentrate thoroughly to top and bottom of foliage. Agitate regularly while spraying.

Monterey B.T. Insecticide Concentrate can be used on fruits, vegetables, ornamentals, and shade trees.
When to Use
Apply Monterey B.T. Insecticide Concentrate at first sign of infestation and repeat at weekly intervals when needed to maintain control.
For shade trees and ornamentals, apply when buds swell, but before leaves are fully open.
Do not make applications when rainfall is expected to occur for the next 24 hours after application.
Safety Information
Monterey B.T. Insecticide Concentrate is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Special Considerations
Monterey B.T. Insecticide Concentrate must be eaten by worms or caterpillars to be effective. After ingesting the insecticide, they immediately stop feeding, though they may otherwise appear to be unaffected for several days.
