CowPots Biodegradable Pots is a ready to use product that requires no additional tools except for the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves during handlement.

For transfer to gardens and plant beds, you will need a shovel or trough to dig a hole to place this product into.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine the foliage or seeds to be planted as this will determine the size of the CowPot Biodegradable Pot to use. A 3 round pot (fits 12 to Dillen CTR3512) is ideal for seed starting of herbs, vegetables, and other foliage that will eventually need to be transferred to larger containers or directly into a garden. 3 square pots are intended for quick turnarounds from seeds to transplanting for seeds that will become larger plants (loosely fits 18 to 1020 tray) or direct planting to ground post frost. 3 sixcell flat pots are meant for seeds with quick germination (cucumber, squash, pumpkins), mixed garden seeds, salsa seed pack, pizza garden, and annual flowers which will fit 3 to 1020 tray. 4 square pots (fits 15 to Dillen CTS 415) are ideal for seedlings needing more days in a greenhouse before transplanting and early planting of vegetables or annuals. There is no need to tear or rip open the CowPots Biodegradable Pots when planting or transplanting.
• Step 2: Fill the appropriate size of CowPots Biodegradable Pots with potting soil mix and plants seeds or transplant seedling as directed on the seed packet directions. Leave space between the pots to maximize air circulation to increase plant health and pot performance. Water the top or bottom of the product container and fertilize as needed for the seed. Do not rewater when the product container is still moist or until pot is dry.
• Step 3: When seedling have reached the appropriate height they are ready for planting. Typically, this will be at least an inch of growth for most plant species. Place entire CowPots Biodegradable Pots into the soil and cover completely with the remaining soil, then lightly water. Do not break apart the product container as this can create plant shock for the seeds or damage the roots.
