Kaput Combo Bait Mini Blocks, manufactured by Kaput, are rodenticide baits designed to control invasions of house mice, norway rats and roof rats.

Made from quality grains designed to mimic their primary sources of food, rodents will not face any type of bait aversion and will be easily attracted to the bait and do multiple feedings, which will ensure their extermination.

Kaput Combo Bait Mini Blocks delivers year long control of rodents and their fleas without deterioting from moisture over time.

Tools Needed

Kaput Combo Bait Mini Blocks come ready to use but it is recommended to use a bait station to place the blocks in.

How To Use

  • Step 1: Conduct a thorough inspection to locate rodent nests, feeding sites, runways and entry points. Based on the information you gather, place the bait strategically in those active areas inside of a bait station.
  • Step 2: To use to this product to treat Norway Rats and Roof Rats, apply at a rate of 4 to 16 one-ounce block baits per bait placement. Space baits placements by 15 to 30 feet in the infested area where rodents have been sighted. Maintain a fresh supply of bait for 10 days until rat activity has ceased.
  • Step 3: To use this product to treat for House Mice, apply at a rate of 1 one-ounce bait block per bait placement separated at an interval of 8 to 12 feet in areas where rodents have been sighted. Maintain a fresh supply of uninterrupted bait for 15 days or until mouse activity has stopped and there are no longer signs of mice feeding on the baits.

Where to Use

This product may be used to kill Roof Rats, Norway Rats, House Mice, and Voles and their fleas in and around Urban Areas and Non-Urban Areas that include homes, industrial, commercial, agricultural and public buildings, in sewers, in transport vehicles (ships, trains, and aircraft) and in and around related port or terminal buildings. To use this product to treat for voles outside the home, make sure to use a tamper-resistant bait station and do not apply in areas where endangered or threatened wildlife roam.

When to Use

Use Kaput Combo Bait Mini Blocks when a rodent has trespassed into your home or an infestation is forming. Ideal times to place baits are around the winter when the weather is cooler and rodents are looking to head indoors for warmth.

Safety Information

Kaput Combo Bait Mini Blocks are safe to use around pets and children as long as they are placed in tamper-resistant bait stations. Make sure to use gloves and protective equipment when handling the mini blocks.

Special Considerations

The baits also come with a center hole for easy application with tamper-resistant baits and have ridged surfaces, which are perfect for rodents to gnaw and chew on.

Works well on voles
We're in the northeast in a rural area and tend to get a bad vole infestation starting in February. We use the secured bait boxes (lots of dogs in the neighborhood) in strategic areas along their paths and it eradicates them within a couple of weeks. Be warned that you will need to stay on top of the situation - if you've had them once, they're going to come back, especially if you have a nice lawn. Voles and mice also like using the boxes for nests come Fall, so I'd check them at least monthly. The only time of year we don't have vole activity is November - January but we leave filled boxes out year-round.

Rats love them!
Pesky critters gobble these tasty mini blocks up. So, we can only assume that the bait is doing its job. Since we have a dense preserve behind our house, it's an ongoing problem.

I’m half way through my second four pound bucket & the mice are still coming. I haven’t seen any dead mice at all. I have been putting this stuff out for two months now. Not sure if it’s killing them or if it’s just a tasty treat for them. I’ll finish the second bucket then decide what to do.

Only true first generation on market
Kaput is the only true first generation anticoagulant bait on the market (Warfarin). The primary competitor, Difacinone (Diphenadione), was reclassified by the EPA as a first generation in 2013. Kaput requires constant bait exposure for 10 to 15 days. Higher cost and more work, but a lot less secondary mortality and morbidity. Beware with Diphacinone. Just because some political appointee at the EPA reclassifies something as first generation does not necessarily make it so.

Let the bodies hit the floor!!!
I had vole holes all over my backyard that slopes down to a pond. I put these baits in every hole and covered with light topsoil. I have no more voles making holes in my yard. Excellent product!!!!

effective for voles
Easy to use. Evidence of eating bait seen over night. There have been several dead voles in their tunnels in the yard. Definitely plan to continue use.

Good so far
The bait is being consumed but it's too soon to tell about effectiveness. I bought a bait station with the pellets. Disappointed that the holes in the pellets are too small to fit over the bait spikes. As a result the pellets are breaking in half when forced on.

good control for voles
This is my second order for the combo bait control. It works well to control voles. New voles appear from time to time and tunnel through my lawn. Kaput is definitely an effective control. I use a short length of 3 inch stove pipe to contain the bait and control access. Set the pipe in a tunnel next to their habitat.

Appears to work across multiple pests
Easy to use, appears to be effective with other rodents besides voles. Not certain if due to my bait stations, but neighbor found a dead rat in their back yard. Hopefully squirrels aren't getting to it...though they have been cleaning out my bird feeder.Only question I have is how to know how long to use the blocks. I have found half eaten blocks after 4 weeks...and just add more.

Questions and Answers
  1. Q:If the dead mice are ate by a cat will it harm the cat?
    8/25/20
    A:Sorry I don’t know I don’t have a cat.

  2. Q:What if a puppy or two ate a few tiny bites off of this?
    7/14/18
A:My city ordinance requires these baits to be contained in a device. However I had voles in my backyard that slopes to a pond. I put them in the holes and covered them up. Let the bodies hit the floor!!! Have no new holes and I covered bait in the holes with topsoil and didn't allow my small dog in the yard. I have no more voles making holes!!! It really works. I never saw one dead because they were underground. Wonderful product. Did the job.

  3. Q:Are the blocks poisonous to household pets? One of the blocks was found in our yard (maybe carried from another yard). Our dog found it and spent some time chewing on it....
    5/27/18
A:Yes, the bait is dangerous to pets, size of the pet and the amount they consume would determine if it is lethal. Did it appear it was ingested?

  4. Q:Voles have riddled my lawn with holes and trails. How do I get rid of them?
    4/4/18
A:Voles are very hard to get rid of entirely. I've found that at best, I can control their population. This item works. I made bate stations out of pvc pipe so birds and other animals cannot get at the bait. You need to place the bait stations in the runways that the voles use, preferably upagainst your house or a wall. Make sure you check it often.

  5. Q:do you carry the actual bait station for this product? or does it come w/ the product? KAPUT COMBO BAIT MINI BLOCKS
    3/30/17
A:Yes, we actually have many different bait stations that will work for the kaput product. We have the Aegis brand stations we also carry the protecta brand stations. Both are very good stations and are capable of holding this bait.
