Solutions Rat & Mouse Bait Stations, manufactured by Solutions, is a discreet and low-profile bait station that is easily accessible to mice and rats and convenient to open for pest control operators or homeowners.

This high-performance, tamper-resistant bait station safely secures snap traps or bait blocks while keeping bait cool and out of the elements. These rodent bait stations are durable and designed for superior weather resistance and destruction. Each station comes with a key included for complete safety for pets, people, and wildlife both indoors and outdoors.

The Solutions Rat & Mouse Bait Station's custom construction allows users to easily secure rodent bait blocks within the large bait reservoir by quickly popping in and out the included steel rods for faster rodent control. The bait station's intuitive design also allows for plastic rat snap traps to be inserted and held securely in place without the need to fiddle with installing vertical rods.

Solutions Rat & Mouse Bait Stations offer quick servicing with an easy-to-unlock lid which opens away from the wall for faster bait reloading. Its smooth design also allows for simplified maintenance and cleaning. This high-performing, tamper-resistant bait station is for those who deserve a more economical and effective choice for rodent baiting.

Tools Needed

Tools are not needed for baiting or placing the Solutions Rat & Mouse Bait Stations, however rodenticide bait blocks with pre-drilled holes or bait filled snap traps are needed.

These stations require a key to be opened. You will receive 1 key with the station.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Unlock the Solutions Rat & Mouse Bait Station with the supplied key in the single keyhole at the front of the bait station. Simply turn once in a quarter turn motion with the trapezoid end of the key to open the bait station. Be sure to wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves to hide your scent from rodents when handling the bait station and selected rodenticide products.
  • Step 2: When you have inserted either rodent bait or snap trap inside of the station you can then place the stations along exterior walls or fence lines with the entry holes against the wall every 40 feet apart.

How to Load Bait Blocks

  • Step 1: Skewer 3-6 bait blocks with the horizontal rods which comes with each station. Insert the loaded rods into the station's bait reservoir, sliding the rod's ends into the rod holders. Shut the trap's lid until you hear it snap into place. Once closed, this tamper-resistant bait station cannot be reopened without the key.

How to Set Trap Inside

  • Step 1: Set snap trap within the station with the trap's arming end placed directly in front the small, vertical rod holders. The trap's kill-end should be up against the station's runway wall for easy approach by rodents. Bait the snap trap's trigger plate with peanut butter or seeds.
  • Step 2: Once the snap trap is secured, close the lid to the Solutions Rat & Mouse Bait Station until you hear it click into place. When the lid has been closed, you will need to use the key to reopen it since it automatically locks.
  • Step 3: Replace the bait on your selected snap trap daily to ensure freshness. Properly dispose of any dead rodents on a daily basis in the snap trap within this bait station.

Where to Use

Place the Solutions Rat & Mouse Bait Stations along walls and vertical structures with the entrance holes against the structure either outdoors or indoors. The best locations to place your stations will be where you have seen rodent activity or close to entry points along your structure. Rats will never go more than 20 feet from their burrow, so place stations no more than 40 feet apart. For a house with a square footage of less than 2,000 square feet, you’ll need 6 stations to cover the perimeter of your home.

Placing Bait Station

When to Use

Solutions Rodent Bait Stations should be used to protect children, pets, or livestock from accessing rodent bait blocks or snap traps. Best used when rodents have been seen or there has been signs of their activity. These bait stations are also great to use when weather conditions can ruin bait making it less effective.

Safety Information

Solutions Rodent Bait Stations are safe to use around pets and children when used according to the product manual instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling bait and bait stations.

Special Considerations

You will receive 1 key for every 6 bait stations purchased, 2 two inch vertical rods, and 2 six inch rods for vertical bait placement with each station. Shop for an additional 4 Way Universal Key here.

The Solutions Rat & Mouse Bait Station is 13 inches long, 9.5 inches wide, and 4 inches tall with the lid closed. The entry tunnels have a width and height of approximately 2.5 inches.

Works well
Rats went right after bait
Easy to load, lock and unlock
Metal rods for bait are shiny, so my pack rats took them home. Wish the rods would snap down and lock

Works very well, I like the key system, easier than the metal keys used to pry open other stations. Larger openings are needed for Roof Rats. The optional bait holders (horizontal) are cool Good price.

You can't argue with the results
I purchased a house in South Florida, abandoned for 7 years. The Palm Rat is a common pest in residential areas and in had infested my attic crawlspace. My dogs would hear them and bark around the clock.
The results were dead rodents and calm dogs within weeks of placing bait stations outside, in strategic locations.

Products that do what's intended and WORKS!
Straight forward
These products work. The advice of setting the traps up for a few days to feed and not set to let the varmints get use to them really paid off
I do recommend stronger shipping packages ??

I used these bait boxes because of my dogs. I’m also concerned about the wild life. It’s easy to use and stays in the spots you decide. Every 2 months or so you need to clean it out and add more bait in them.

I just set the bait station up but I can already tell it is a step above anything else I have tried to deal with my rat problem. This is a complete system that is easy to use and easy to set-up. I seriously believe this system will permanently eliminate my rodent problem. It is a very robust system that recommend anyone try if they are serious about dealing with rats and mice.

  5. Q:Do u have to empty traps of dead rodents?
    12/4/22
A:No. They are poisoned, so they go somewhere else and die. At least I have never seen a dead one in the traps. These apparently work really well. They have for us. We had roof rats. Used the traps and bait around the outside of our house. Roof rats disappear.

  6. Q:How do you know if it's effective as far as killing the mice?
    9/20/22
A:This will depend on the bait being used inside the Solutions Rat & Mouse Bait Station. We recommend using a first generation anticoagulant rodenticides (FGAR) like the Eratication Rodent Bait. These type of baits require rats and mice to consume a lethal amount over multiple feeding leading to its death within 5 to 7 days. The benefit of using a (FGAR) like Eratication Rodent Bait is that it prevents bait shyness and allows a majority of the rodent population to eat the bait and then perish. Other types of baits such as second generation anticoagulant rodenticides (SGAR) have a higher concentration of active ingredients leading to a faster rodent death in one feeding. While SGAR are more powerful the stronger concentration of active ingredient means the poison is more likely to stay active in deceased pests, which increases the risk to foraging wildlife and pets. 7. Q:do rodents die in the bait box after eating the bait or do they eat the bait and die elsewhere?
    5/6/22
A:In my experience the rodents eat the bait and run off to their home or chilling destination. I’ve found dead mice 20-30 feet away.

  10. Q:I set up 4 boxes with the traps and placed peanut butter on the trap. So far after 3 days no luck. Any other recommendations for a bait? I left the boxes outside for a week with no trap and peanut butter and other then that filled with ants, the peanut butter was untouched. Plenty of rats running around so not sure what else I should try. Haven’t tried the boxes with poison out of concern that one of my dogs would pick up a dead rat and eat it.
    4/30/21
A:I have always used Eratication Rodent Bait from Solutions. Rats love it. You will rarely find a dead rat. They eat the bait and move on to die elsewhere. I have two dogs and have never had a problem. I have five boxes around my house. (No rat problem anymore)
