Eratication Rodent Bait

Eratication - Expert Take on This Excellent Rodent Product

Eratication is a paraffinized block. It contains diphacinone, which causes the rodent to hemorrhage, bleed internally. This product can be used both indoor and outdoors. Inside you can use it up in the attic and also in areas inside the house away from kids and also pets.

Outside, Eratication can be used along the perimeters of homes, any kind of structure, commercial buildings, warehouses.

To treat an outdoor area, take some of these blocks and place them in a tamper-resistant station, which is actually required anytime that you’re baiting outdoors. The idea of this is to keep kids from getting to your bait, also pets, dogs, cats. It also serves another purpose and that is to protect your bait from the outdoor elements.

Make sure you have some protective gloves, eyewear. It’s always a good idea to use these things, especially when you’re dealing with pesticides or rodenticides.

Eratication actually has a hole drilled through the paraffinized block, which makes it easy to place it on a skewer inside a bait station for easy set up. You just take it and you’re just going to skewer the bait. We’re going to put our pin in place there, take our blocks and just put them right in on top of there.

Use anywhere from two to eight blocks per bait placement for rat activity. For mice activity, you might use maybe one block, but for rats, that’s what we’re going to use here. We’re going to start with two and you want to try to monitor these stations.

You don’t want to go without any bait in a bait station for more than ten days so we want to continue to make sure that the bait stations stay full, at least for ten days. For rat activity bait a bait station about every 15-30 feet apart. For mice activity you might bait them every 10 feet apart.

Eratication causes hemorrhaging so they bleed internally. It usually reacts in a couple of days. Make sure that we keep our stations full for at least ten days, so don’t let them go empty on you. You want to make sure you check them quite frequently.

Do this work for squirels?
A shopper on Feb 5, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No, the Eratication product is not labeled for use on squirrels. We do have bait that is labeled for the CA ground squirrel. https://www.solutionsstores.com/squirrel-control
Is it necessary to put these in a bait block or can I just use them without?
A shopper on Mar 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I use them both ways.
In the house I use for safety reasons only. Grandchildren and dogs are quite courious.
In the feed shed, garage, and putter buildings I tie them with fishing line.
This serves two purposes 1) let's me know of activity and 2) keeps the little stinkers from running off with the bait. I've had great success decreasing the numbers.

Have a big Norway rat problem. They will not touch the green baits from home depot, how is bait acceptance with this product?
james q on May 10, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I had a huge rat problem at my home. Tried everything. Then I bought 4 bait stations and this bucket of bait. Totally took care of my rat problem. One thing that I found you have to do is where gloves when putting baigt boxes out and putting bait in. Rats can smell our scent and will stay away from the bait and the bait boxes. Once I learned this the rats went crazy over this bait. Checked and refilled the boxes every couple of weeks. Best stuff ever and I tried everything before!
Set out bait traps a week ago for Norway rats under my deck. I think there may have been 3-5 living there. When should I check the boxes to see if they need more bait? Weekly, every other week, monthly?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, we would advise checking the stations every 5 days to determine if any additional bait is needed. Once the population decreases we can space the time frame further apart.
Do you sell this to CA residents?
A shopper on May 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Eratication cannot be shipped to California due to state restrictions.
If I put this product in a crawl space and the mice die will this product cover the smell of their corpses or do I have to get rid of the corpses physically?
Trisha on Jan 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Fortunately, Mice are pretty small and the smell for a dead mouse that cannot be located is usually short lived and not very noticeable. We do sell Rat Sorb, which is a great product to absorb the organic matter that is in the air, and that our noses register.

2 questions: 1. How many bait blocks are in each bucket? 2- How is this product different from Tomcat blocks?
Badi B on May 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: 1. Around 32 bait blocks.

2. It has a peanut butter scent which attracts rodents more.
Can you explain how these are locked into the bait stations, I am confused?
Sarah on Jun 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The Eratication Bloxs have a hole through the middle of each block that allows you to place it on the internal rods that come with stations. One in place and the station is locked, the bait is locked in place and cannot be removed or fall out of the station. This insures 2 things, that nothing else is accidentally poisoned and that the rodent cannot only come inside and ingest the lethal does, and not take the bait. Which would then be wasted or cause accidental ingestion by a non targeted pest.
Is it safe (within the label and the law) to place these above a drop ceiling in a restaurant? Do i have to place these within a station?
CC on May 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It will be recommended to place the bait in a station that will be the safest way to apply this product.
My dog swallowed a bait block. Will he be alright?
Isaiah on May 17, 2017
BEST ANSWER: We always recommend taking them to a vet. The LD-50 for Eratication is quite high so there should not be an issue but it is best to be safe rather than sorry. If you bring them tell them the dog ate 1 block (1oz) of diphacinone bait.

Impressed!!
It is so rare for something to work as well as you hope it will, but Eratication is honestly amazing. We kept seeing and hearing rats in the garage, and wanted them GONE with as little fuss as possible. We tossed some of the blocks in various corners and crannies of the garage and literally within a few days we saw/heard no more evidence of rats. None. It has been 4 months now, and still nothing. Can't recommend this product enough!!

This Stuff Really Works!
I was online looking for a pest control product that would truly be effective in helping me to rid my rodent problem. I can across this the Solution Pest and Lawn website and I read some great reviews about their products. I purchased the Eratication Rodent Bait and I placed the product in the areas which were adequate to my problem. This bait worked very well and I am very happy to say that my rodent problem no longer exists. I would gladly recommend this product to others.

effective product for rat control
This product has helped control the rat infestation on my property. Easy to use, rats seem to consume it with gusto. Have noticed that the rat population has declined. Using this and taking other measures such as sealing entrances to my home, cutting back bushes, tree limbs near my home has eliminated rats in my attic.

It works.....depending how many you have and are getting inside.
Didn't get results until 4 or 5 days later. It may work for one or two rodents but, wasn't strong enough for my problem. I still had to get an exterminator.

House Mice No More!!!
I placed blocks in the crawl space of house and three days later there is little to no evidence of mice in house. Just a matter of time before ALL will be eradicated. Snow on its way, that will be the test. Great product. Handle with care. I used latex gloves and a mouth mask...which I also use for gardening...then threw them away in a closed sandwich baggie. Simple.
