Application

Place the baited SNAP-E near a wall and pull back on the upright bar until it locks firmly in catch. The vertical strike bar travels half the distance of old-fashioned wooden traps. The extra-large trip paddle and strike bar catch rodents from the front, sides and back. To release, simply pull back on the upright bar until mouse is released. Fingers never touch the mouse.

Snap-E Mouse Trap

While much similar to traditional wooden traps which people have used for decades, the Snap-E Mouse trap is an upgraded version that may beat out the original. These are one of the easiest traps to use and have an excellent success rate.

With a smarter design the Snap-E Mousetrap catches mice the first time. The Snap E mousetrap’s spring loaded bar is set to just a 90 degree angle, so it has a shorter distance to travel before making contact and killing the mouse. This is where the design engineers have made a huge improvement over the old time models where you pulled the wire back all the way to 180 degrees. Past versions would see the metal snapping bar miss the mouse & the empty trap would go flying across the room. With the Snap-E’s design the bar takes half the time from trigger to impact ensuring a speedy end.

The Snap E mousetrap is made of thick polystyrene plastic and was designed to be re-usable. Polystyrene is also very easy to clean. Once the trap has caught a mouse, just take the mouse & trap over to the trash (preferably outside) and press the release bar on the other side, so the mouse falls out.  You never have to touch the mouse, which is great for people with a weak stomach.

To re-use the trap, you can just re-bait it & set it out again.  If you need to clean it up once in a while, just head on over to the sink & spray hot water on the trap to wash off any remaining bait or other gunk. Dry it off with a paper towel, then reset the trap with fresh bait and you are ready to continue catching mice.  Fresh bait is recommended, so the scent will be strong enough to lure the next mouse into the trap.

Works!
The traps I received were not printed with the Kness Logos so I have to assume they are not the originals but they work just as well

Kness are the Best!
I have used the Kness mouse traps for years. My last order for a dozen of them was in 2009. I still have two left. They are easy to bait and set. They are durable and catch many mice before they finally wear out. When they are worn out, it becomes difficult to get the latch to latch, so I switch to a new one. My one recommendation is to screw them to a board. They are light and a kicking mouse can push/drag them out of sight before it dies. I once bought a box store copy cat of the Kness design, but it was junk.

Effective mousetrap
Fall in rural Minnesota means mice moving into the house--the same mice that have chewed up wiring in our pickup truck, chewed up upholstery in our car and, once inside, continued making messes. Just last week we spent hours tearing apart a dryer with a mouse nest. Mice are not cute and we have maintained ""trap lines"" with other types of mouse traps for as long as I can remember. These traps? Great! Easy to set and deadly once a mouse gets near.
