Hypro Roller Pump 1700C
Hypro Roller Pump 1700C
The Hypro 1700C Roller Pump is manufactured by Pentair/Hypro and is a durable, high-quality part that is essential to pesticide spraying rigs. Hypro roller pumps help to transfer a variety of fluids at a low pressure for pest control and lawn care applications. The Hypro 1700C Roller Pump has the ability to deliver a max flow of 45 GPM and a max pressure of 200 PSI. Built with cast-iron and stainless steel, they are durable while also being affordably priced.
Tools Needed
To use the Hypro 1700C Roller Pump you will need to install it onto a pesticide spraying rig. For this, you will need a base plate (sold separately), two Lovejoy couplers and a pressure regulator. You will also need a strainer to catch any debris.
How to Use
- Step 1: Following system installation instructions that come with the Hypro1700C Roller Pump service manual, mount the roller pump to your pesticide spraying rig system. The pump hooks up to the gas engine via 2 Lovejoy couplers and you will need to mount it onto a base plate which will hold it onto the frame then configure plumbing.
- Step 2: Prime the pump by making sure all connections are tight and do not leak air. Also, make sure the strainer line is free of debris. If the pump does not self-prime, disconnect the suction hose, fill it with water and reconnect it to the liquid source. A squirt of oil into the pump ports will help to prime by sealing clearances.
- Step 3: After every application, flush the pump with a cleaning solution that will neutralize the liquid pump then flush it with a 50-50 solution of car antifreeze and water to prevent corrosion. Turn the shaft several times to drawl the protective liquid through the pump to coat the entire inner surface and then drain the pump and plug the ports to keep air out.
Where to Use
The Hypro 1700C Roller Pump can be used on power sprayers and pesticide spraying rigs and is what helps to disperse the spray chemicals efficiently to its intended target. The 1700C Roller Pump can be used as part of a spraying rig on industrial sites, residential areas or agricultural settings.
When to Use
Use the Hypro Roller Pump 1700C when you need to replace an older Roller Pump that has lost pressure on your power sprayer or spraying rig. This is a great pump for applications requiring high volume, but not necessarily high pressure.
Safety Information
The Hypro Roller Pump 1700C is safe to install and operate when done so by following the service manual instructions. Use the proper PPE (gloves, long-sleeved clothing) when operating and maintaining the roller pump.
Special Considerations
When mounting your Hypro roller pump, be sure to use bolts and nuts which are compatible with any chemicals that may come into contact with them as well as choosing the correct grade of bolt based on the pump weight and any expected loads.
