Gly Pho-Sel Pro Dry 75 SG, manufactured by Agrisel, is a non-selective, fast acting systemic granular that eliminates emerged weeds within your lawn. As a post-emergent herbicide Gly Pho-Sel Pro Dry 75 SG will kill immediately on contact with target vegetation, burning it down through the weeds or grasses leaves to the roots. Providing a quick, but effective weed control within several hours of application.

The active ingredient in Gly Pho-Sel Pro Dry 75 SG, Glyphosate 75.7%, comes as a salt which allows the granules to dissolve completely into a solution. As a result, there is a low use rate meaning there is less labor needed by you when applying. For example, the dehydrated granule form of this product allows for no resulting clay residue to plug your spray nozzles.

As a low use rate product, with higher levels of concentration, Gly Pho-Sel Pro Dry 75 SG is ideal for immediate and complete removal of the toughest of weeds such as Bermuda Grass and poison ivy.

Tools Needed

To use Gly Pho-Sel Pro Dry 75 SG you will need a handheld pump sprayer or backpack sprayer.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Gly Pho-Sel Pro Dry 75 SG to use by finding the size of the treatment area. To do this, measure the treatment area's square footage by measuring the area's length and width, and then multiplying them together (length x width = square feet). As a non-residual control product apply when weeds are at least 6 inches in height for full emergence. To find acreage, take the measured square foot and divide by 44. Lets say you have a 1,200 sq. ft. property, you will take this square footage and divide by 44 to get the total 27.2 (1,200 / 44 = 27.2 acres) Application rates will depend on the type of foliage being treated and location. Use 0.4 to 7.0 fl. oz of Gly Pho-Sel Pro Dry per gallon of water for small general applications. For a volume of 5%, use 3.5 fl. oz. of Gly Pho-Sel Pro Dry 75 SG per gallon of water. For a volume of 10%, use 7.0 fl. oz. of product per gallon of water. Always use the higher rate of this product per acre within the specified range when weed growth is heavy or dense, or when weeds are growing in an undisturbed (noncultivated) area.
  • Step 2: Add half of the required water amount to the sprayer, then add the measured amount of Gly Pho-Sel Pro Dry 75 SG based on your calculations, then add the remaining half of the water inside the sprayer. Secure the sprayer lid then shake thoroughly until spray mixture is even.
  • Step 3: Go to application area and pump the handle of the sprayer to pressurize. Apply a coarse spray pattern evenly to the targeted area and weed surfaces until wet. Repeat treatments may be necessary to control later germinating weeds. Refer to the label as each species of foliage has a set days of when to reapply product.

Where to Use

Gly Pho-Sel Pro Dry 75 SG can be used on residential homes, golf courses, landscape, turf, ornamental and non-crop uses. In industrial, recreational and public areas when applied as a non-crop use in areas such as airports, ditch banks, dry ditches, dry canals, fencerows, golf courses, highways, industrial plant sites, lumberyards, parking areas, parks, petroleum tank farms and pumping installations, pipelines, power and telephone rights-of-way, railroads, roadsides, schools, storage areas, and utility substations.

For non-crop use in habitat management in restoration and or maintenance of native habitats and in wildlife management areas. This product may also be used as a site preparation treatment prior to planting wildlife food plots.

When applied as instructed for the conditions described for non-crop uses, this product controls undesirable vegetation prior to planting, within and around greenhouses and shadehouses, and as a postdirected spray around established ornamentals, tree nurseries, and Christmas trees.

Do not treat foliage or green bark of tree trunk, branches, suckers, cut stumps, fruit or other parts of trees or vines. Contact of this product to mature brown bark or foliage can result in serious crop damage.

When to Use

Use Gly Pho-Sel Dry 75 SG when weeds are at least 6 inches for full emergence. For winter annual weeds treat when plants are in an early growth stage (below 6 inches in height) after most have germinated. For best results on tall fescue, treat when fescue is in or beyond the 4- to 6-leaf stage. Applications to turf should only be made when grass is well established and out of dormancy, typically this will be in the third month of spring.

For easier application, apply this product on a warm, dry day when rain is not predicted for at least 24 hours and when wind pressure is low.

Safety Information

Gly Pho-Sel Dry 75 SG is safe to use around children or pets when applied according to the product label. Always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing or applying this product.

Wait at least 48 hours before allowing children, pets, or other individuals to enter the treatment area.

Special Considerations

Gly Pho-Sel Dry 75 SG does not provide residual control, therefore delay application until maximum weed emergence. A weed should at least be 6 inches before application, if applied below this height it could lead to damaged desired foliage.

Do not treat weeds under poor growing conditions such as drought stress, disease or insect damage, as reduced weed control may result.

Questions and Answers
  1. Q:Will this kill the St. Augustine grass?
    9/8/22
A:Gly Pho-Sel Pro Dry 75 SG is a non-selective herbicide meaning it will kill all foliage it comes into contact with including desired turfgrass such as St. Augustine grass. However, this product has been discontinued so we recommend using Martins Eraser A/P Herbicide, which is also a non-selective herbicide that uses the active ingredient glyphosate 41% just at a lesser concentration than Gly Pho-Sel Pro Dry 75 SG.
