Gly Pho-Sel Pro 41%
Gly Pho-Sel Pro 41%
Gly Pho-Sel Pro, manufactured by Agrisel, is a non-selective, systemic herbicide used to kill growing or established annual and perennial weeds. Gly Pho-Sel Pro is made with the active ingredient Glyphosate, the same ingredient in RoundUp Pro, and also has 15% surfactant so that it will kill weeds quickly and effectively.
Because Gly Pho-Sel Pro is made with Glyphosate, it will target and kill weeds and vegetation non-selectively. This means that it is great to use to control any unwanted vegetation, including grass.
Gly Pho-Sel Pro does not have any soil activity, meaning the product must come into direct contact with the plant to be effective. This makes it convenient for spot treating weeds around fence lines or ornamental beds where it will not transfer to desirable vegetation through the soil.
Gly Pho-Sel Pro is an effective solution in getting rid of unwanted weeds, woody brush, and trees. It is easy to use and has a low odor.
Tools Needed
To apply Gly Pho-Sel Pro, you will need either a pump sprayer, hose end sprayer, backpack sprayer, or a spray rig for large volume applications. Since Gly Pho-Sel Pro is often used as a spot treatment, we recommend using a handheld sprayer or backpack sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much product you will need to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. do this by measuring the length and width, and then multiplying them together. To find acreage, take your square footage and divide by 43,560. Gly Pho-Sel Pro can be mixed at the rate of 0.66, 1.33, 2, 2.33, 6.5, or 13 fluid ounces per gallon of water. Generally most applications will be 2 fl. oz. per gallon of water.
- Step 2: To mix, fill your sprayer halfway with water. Pour in the required amount of Gly Pho-Sel Pro based on your calculations. Fill your sprayer the rest of the way with water and shake to the sprayer to mix thoroughly.
- Step 3: Apply your Gly Pho-Sel Pro uniformly over the foliage of targeted vegetation. Be sure to spray the leaves of plants to the point of wet, not runoff. Gly Pho-Sel Pro must be used as a foliar spray because it has no residual soil activity.
Where to Use
Gly Pho-Sel Pro can used in cropland and for non-crop uses in industrial, recreational, and public areas, including airports, ditch banks, dry ditches, dry canals, fencerows, golf courses, highways, industrial plant sites, lumberyards, parking areas, parks, petroleum tank farms and pumping installations, pipelines, power and telephone rights-of-way, railroads, roadsides, schools, storage areas, utility substations, and other public areas and similar industrial or non-crop areas.
When to Use
For best results against annual weeds, use Gly Pho-Sel Pro at the onset of the growing season when the weeds are actively growing. Perennial weeds are best controlled during late stage growth. Apply on calm days when wind speeds are low (less than 5 mph gusts) to minimize drift and when rain is not in the immediate forecast. Control may be obtained faster when applications are made when temperatures exceed 80 degrees F.
Safety Information
Gly Pho-Sel Pro is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to label directions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and keep all people and pets off the treated areas until dry.
Special Considerations
Gly Pho-Sel Pro is formulated with 15% surfactant, so it is not necessary or recommended to add surfactant, buffering agent, or pH adjusting agents. However, Gly Pho-Sel Pro can be tank mixed with additional herbicides. It recommended to mix in a marking dye to help operators keep track of where they have sprayed.
