Vision Pro Max Indicator Dye, manufactured by Solutions Pest and Lawn, is the most concentrated dye on the market at 36% of Acid Blue 9 dye. This product helps to ensure that turf areas are evenly treated with insecticides, herbicides, fungicides or fertilizers by temporarily turning the treated areas blue, preventing waste by showing where exactly you have sprayed.

By utilizing a marking dye, pesticide applicators will be able to better keep track of where they have applied product. The blue dye helps spray application stand out, preventing applicators from over-spraying and making it easier to notice unwanted spray drift.

Made with Acid Blue 9, Vision Pro Max is safe to use with all types of spray equipment. It washes away from most surface areas with soap and water, and will fade away from turf in the sunlight. Only a small amount of this product is required for the desired effect.

Tools Needed

Vision Pro Max Indicator Dye is an additive product, so use it to enhance your pesticide or fertilizer application. You will need to mix this product inside a sprayer of your choice.

How to Use

  • Step 1: To use Vision Pro Max Indicator Dye, make sure you first mix your pesticide product according to its label instructions.
  • Step 2: After, you will measure out the required amount of Vision Pro Max Indicator Dye and add it to the pesticide solution. According to the label, you can add 6 to 10 fl. oz. of Vision Pro Max Indicator Dye per 100 gallons of spray solution, depending on turf color and height. For smaller applications, that's about 3 milliliters per 1 gallon of solution. After you pour in Vision Pro Max Indicator Dye, close and shake the sprayer to create an even distribution.
  • Step 3: Spray the treatment areas keeping an eye on your spray pattern to make sure your desired area is treated evenly. Make sure no areas are skipped.

Where to Use

When to Use

Make applications on calm, dry days when rain is not in the immediate forecast.

Safety Information

Vision Pro Max Indicator Dye is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying and handling this product, and follow all safety guidelines of the pesticide or fertilizer you are applying.

Special Considerations

Read the pesticides label thoroughly for any specific instructions regarding additives.

Check weather conditions before applying products mixed with Vision Pro Max Indicator Dye, as heavy rains and extensive sunlight can cause the blue dye to wash or fade away.

Vision Pro Max Indicator Dye will help enhance your product application, optimizing for coverage. Most active infestations cannot be controlled through the use of one product. To get the most out of Vision Pro Max, add it to your regular lawn care and pest control plan.

Best I've used
I put .5oz in 4 gallon sprayer and it was more than enough to see where I had been. The first round I used a 4 nozzle wand where the droplets were larger and the coverage obviously isn't as complete as the single wand nozzle. However, the droplets were visible indeed.
Dark, much less amount of dye, smaller container
Takes precautions not to get it on things.
Works Great!!
For my first time use, I mixed it a little heavier than recommended, as you can see in the photo. For my second batch, I did scale back to the higher end of the recommended range (1 oz. per 10 gallons) and it still produced a good visual indicator of the sprayed areas! For me, this is a worthwhile additive to know what has and has not been sprayed.
Easy to use, good visual indicator.
Somewhat pricy but does add value to usage of more expensive treatment products.

This DYE is Effective and Economical. BUY IT....
I FINALLY got smart. Using a 2 gallon sprayer-filled to only 1.5 gallons, it only requires ~ .5 ounce of this dye to know where you have applied your weed killer, (MSM TURF is the BEST and is what I use). Hand spraying weeds is not hard, but, not knowing WHERE you have sprayed, is the difficult part. At about seventy cents per 1.5 gallons of mix, it is very much worth this cost to KNOW where you have sprayed.

It doesn't work like you would expect it in a large environment. I mixed it according to the directions sprayed a couple of hundred gallons with my spray rig and could barely see where I had been. And for the cost mixing more would seem unappropriate. It's great stuff if you use one gallon containers

Was easy to use and cleans up with soap and water if you have a spill. Loved the ability to now see where I spray. Really allowed me to control overspray.

  1. Q:Does Vision Pro Max leave stains on the areas sprayed such as concrete or inside the sprayer tank?
    4/24/24
A:No, water washes the color away. I even got it on a white cotton shirt and it washed out of it without any stain treatments. The grass did stay colored for a while but it actually made my yard look better.

    3/21/22
A:Our container does say either but I’d say the container is about the size of a quart jar. It just takes a little. It goes a long way.

  5. Q:What is the recommended rate for this dye, per gal of herbicide in tank sprayer?
    9/3/21
A:Should say on the container, it doesn't take much so be very careful with it. I treat it like the devil, wear old shoes and plan on them being blue, also, if you still any, it takes gallons of water to wash away. I always wear gloves and old clothes.
