Drexel Imitator + 2,4-D
Drexel Imitator + 2,4-D, manufactured by Drexel, is a broad-spectrum post-emergent herbicide formulated to produce quick results on taller broadleaf weeds. With the added glyphosate in its mixture, it'll also provide excellent control of certain grassy weeds as well.
Its formula penetrates deeply rooted weeds, affecting even brush like thistles and vines for application in places like fencerows.
Drexel Imitator + 2,4-D has a wide variety of uses but is mainly used for crop areas. Its two active ingredients will ensure quick results, with visible symptoms developing within 2 to 4 days after application depending on the weed.
Tools Needed
To apply Drexel Imitator + 2,4-D, you will need a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or a skid sprayer. This product can even be applied from the air with aerial spray equipment for professionals looking to treat large croplands and other areas.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Drexel Imitator + 2,4-D to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the treatment area's length and width in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For an application on both dormant and growing bermuda grass, you'll need to apply 1 to 2 quarts of Drexel Imitator + 2,4-D to 15 to 30 gallons of spray solution per acre.
- Step 2: For a 25 gallon spray tank, begin filling halfway with water, and add the measured amount of Drexel Imitator + 2,4-D to the sprayer. Fill your sprayer the rest of the way with the remaining half of water and agitate thoroughly.
- Step 3: Use a coarse spray tip and apply your solution of Drexel Imitator + 2,4-D to the foliage of the vegetation to be controlled. Your spray coverage should be uniform and complete and be sure not to spray to the point of runoff.
When to Use
Apply Drexel Imitator + 2,4-D when weeds are actively growing and in warm sunny weather as extremely cool or cloudy weather following treatment may slow the activity of this product and delay visual effects of control.
Where to Use
Drexel Imitator + 2,4-D may be applied around areas like airports, apartment complexes, cemeteries, commercial sites, conservation reserve program areas, ditch banks, dry canals, fencerows, golf courses, highway rights-of-ways, industrial sites, landscape areas, lumberyards, manufacturing sites, municipal sites, natural areas, office complexes, parking areas, petroleum tanks, recreational areas, roadsides, sod or turf seed farms, sports complexes, storage areas, substations, utility sites, warehouse areas, and wildlife management areas.
Saftey Information
Drexel Imitator + 2,4-D is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Keep children and pets away from treated areas until 48 hours have passed after application.
Special Considerations
Drexel Imitator + 2,4-D needs to be applied carefully as contact with desirable crops or other foliage will cause accidental injury to the vegetation.
