Tools Needed

Spray Daconil Weatherstik

To use Daconil Weather Stik you will need either a hose-end sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or spray rig. For small household jobs, we recommend a handheld 1-gallon pump sprayer or a hose end sprayer.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Daconil Weather Stik you will need to mix by calculating the square footage of the treatment site. To do this, measure (in feet) the area length and width, then multiply the two values (length x width = square footage). For a pre-disease treatment, use Daconil Weather Stik mix at a rate of 1.0 to 5.5 ounces per 1,000 square feet (rates vary depending on target disease).  For a post-disease treatment mix Daconil Weather Stik at a rate of 4.0 to 5.5 ounces per 1,000 square feet (rates vary depending on target disease).
  • Step 2: Shake well and mix the product into your selected sprayer by adding half the required amount of water to the spray tank, followed by the appropriate measured amount of Daconil based on your calculations. Fill with the remaining half of the required amount of water and agitate the sprayer to ensure the product is mixed well.
  • Step 3: Spray the fungicide onto the leaf of the plant, placing the sprayer on a fan spray setting for even coverage. Apply water to the plant after spraying in order for a film to form and protect the plant from infection.
  • Step 4: Repeat applications can be made 7 to 28 day intervals if necessary.
