Contrac Soft Bait

Contrac Soft Bait, manufactured by Bell Labs, is a unique soft-textured bait that contains a potent formulation of fats and oils to ensure rodents readily consume it, even in environments where other baits may dry out.

Unlike wax-based baits that may dry out over time, the soft bait retains its moisture and freshness, making it an attractive food source for rodents like Norway rats, house mice, and more. With Bromadiolone as its active ingredient, Contrac Soft Bait ensures that only a portion of rodents need to consume it before succumbing, leading to quicker population control.

Contrac Soft Bait is an outstanding soft bait that controls the most prevalent and challenging indoor and outdoor rodent infestations. Simply place the pre-portioned baits into a bait station, and rodents will be naturally attracted to the soft texture and then perish within 4 to 5 days.

How to Use

• Step 1: Before placing Contrac Soft Bait, determine where rodents are most active.
• Step 2: For rats, place 9 to 43 sachets per placement, usually at intervals of 15 to 30 feet in infested areas. Maintain an uninterrupted supply of fresh bait for at least 10 days or until signs of rat activity cease.
• Step 3: For mice and meadow voles, place 1 to 2 sachets per placement, usually at intervals of 8 to 12 feet in infested areas. Up to 6 sachets may be needed at points of very high activity. Maintain an interrupted supply of fresh bait for at least 15 days or until signs of mouse or meadow vole activity cease.   
• Step 4: Check bait stations every few days initially to monitor rodent activity. Replace consumed or contaminated bait as needed. If reinfestation does occur, repeat treatment. 

Where to Use

Contrac Soft Bait can be used indoors and outdoors. 

This product must be used in and within 100 feet of man-made structures constructed in a manner so as to be vulnerable to commensal rodent invasions and/or to harboring or attracting rodent infestations. Examples of such structures include homes and other permanent or temporary residences, food processing facilities, industrial and commercial buildings, trash receptacles, agricultural and public buildings, transport vehicles (ships, trains, aircraft), docks and port or terminal buildings, and related structures associated with these sites. This may also be used in alleys. 

Fence and perimeter baiting beyond 100 feet from a structure, as defined above, is prohibited. This product must not be applied directly to food or feed crops.

When to Use

Apply when rodent infestations are active or you start to see signs or their activity.

Safety Information

Contrac Soft Bait is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling and applying this product. 

This product is extremely toxic to fish, birds, and other wildlife. Dogs, cats, and predatory and scavenging mammals and birds might be poisoned if they feed upon animals that have eaten this bait.
