Borderline Bulk Pellets
Borderline Bulk Pellets are powerful rodenticide pellets that control rats, mice, and voles in outdoor areas such as crops, nurseries, and lawns.
This product is a restricted use pesticide and must have a certified applicator license to be able to purchase.
Borderline Bulk Pellets, manufactured by Lipha Tech, is a professional, potent multi-feed bait that kills rodents in outdoor, non-crop areas within 3 to 15 days.
These bulk pellets allow for flexible and convenient application, especially when other food sources are available. The active ingredient chlorophacinone 0.005% will target Norway rats, roof rats, voles, and house mice's blood clotting abilities, leading to internal bleeding and death.
Borderline Bulk Pellets are weather-resistant baits that retain their freshness and quality, making them appealing to outdoor rodent infestations.
Tools Needed
This product must be used within a tamper-proof bait station.
How to Use
- Step 1: Before applying the pellets, inspect the area for signs of rodent infestation. This can be seen along walls, by gnawed openings, in or beside burrows, corners, and concealed places, between floors or walls, or in locations where rodents or their signs are seen. Remove as much alternative food as possible.
- Step 2: For hand spot baiting, place 1-1/2 ounces (6 tablespoons) of bait in each active hole, trail, or runway (do not exceed 10 lbs per acre). Cover each placement with grass or shingle to avoid exposing nontarget organisms, or place bait in a tamper-resistant bait station. For ground broadcast application, apply 10 lbs per acre.
- Step 3: For mice and vole control in outdoor, noncrop areas apply 1/4 to 1/2 ounce of bait (1-2 level tablespoons) per placement, usually spaced 8 to 12 feet apart. Larger amounts (up to 2 ounces) may be needed at points of very high activity. Maintain a constant supply of fresh bait for 15 days or until signs of activity cease. For rats, use 4 to 16 ounces per placement, usually spaced 15 to 30 feet apart. Maintain a constant supply of fresh bait for 10 days or until fresh signs of rat activity cease.
- Step 4: Replace contaminated or spoiled bait immediately. Wearing waterproof gloves, collect and dispose of all visible dead animals and leftover bait, as well as any bait that has become accessible to non-target animals. To discourage reinfestation, limit sources of rodent food, water and harborage as much as possible. If reinfestation does occur, repeat treatment. For a continuous infestation, set up permanent bait stations and replenish bait as needed.
Where to Use
Borderline Bulk Pellets can be used in outdoor, noncrop areas, such as fence lines, gullies, ditches, railroad rights-of way, garbage dumps, landfills and recycling facilities. This product must not be applied directly to food or feed crops, but may be applied on border areas and buffer strips adjacent to crops.
It may be used to control voles only in nurseries, lawns, golf courses, parks, other ornamental turf areas, ornamental flower and shrub gardens, tree and forestry plantations, Christmas tree farms, and border areas and buffer strips adjacent to crops.
When to Use
Apply this bait when pest activity has been seen.
Safety Information
Borderline Bulk Pellets are safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling and applying this product.
All placements must be in tamper-resistant bait stations or placed deeply into rat burrows.
This product is extremely toxic to fish and wildlife. Dogs and predatory and scavenging mammals and birds might be poisoned if they feed upon animals that have eaten the bait.
Special Consideration
Do not use hay cut after application for feed or bedding. To avoid exposing nontarget organisms, follow the instructions in the “Pesticide disposal” section to insure proper clean-up of any bait for reuse or disposal.
