This formula consists of 95% pure d-limonene, an essential oil that comes from citrus rinds. XT-2000 is injected into infested wood to treat drywood termites, carpenter ants and wood-boring beetles, killing them on contact.

Tools Needed

To use XT-2000 Orange Oil Plus, you will need a 1 gallon sprayer with at least 14.5 PSI, a screwdriver, and a power drill to inject the product into holes for spot treating wood.

How to Use

• Step 1: Start by inspecting your property for visual signs of wood pest or termite infestation (look for termite frass, wood pellets etc.) Use a screwdriver to tap on wood and listen for sounds to indicate where termites are active.
• Step 2: Drill a 7/64 inch hole into wood where you have discovered termite galleries, making sure not to drill too deep through the wood. Drill holes every 3 to 5 inches. For thick beams of wood larger than 4 x 10, drill opposite sides to achieve better penetration.
• Step 3: Depending on the pest product you are treating, add XT-2000 Orange Oil Plus in a sprayer at the rate of 1 gallon per 1,000 sq. ft. for wood boring beetle infestations or 0.22 gallons per 1 cubic foot for wood injections.
• Step 4: For wood injections, inject the XT-2000 Orange Oil for up to one minute avoiding splash back or runoff. Plug holes after treatment with wood putty.
