Red Eye Termite Monitoring Station
Red Eye Termite Monitoring Station
RedEye Termite Monitoring Stations are innovative termite detection and treatment tools designed to manage termite infestations before they get out of control. They are made with a high cellulose attractant and placed in the ground to detect termites. The Red Eye station is easy to install, and its unique monitoring system significantly reduces termite inspection time and labor.
RedEye Termite Monitoring Stations, manufactured by Solutions Pest & Lawn, are in-ground stations 100% guaranteed to detect termites. Termites can cause costly damage to a home or structure, and the best defense against them is early detection.
Red Eye Termite Monitoring Stations have a low-profile design that will not obstruct lawnmowers or other lawn equipment. Stations are easily installed in the ground 5 feet from the structure's drip edge and set 8 to 10 feet apart.
The Red Eye Termite Monitoring Station has been specifically designed to improve the termite inspection process by allowing users to visually check if there is termite activity, reducing time and labor.
Each station houses a high cellulose attractant. When termites feed on the attractant, the "red eye" will drop from the clear-view window at the station's top. All you have to do is look down and look for the red eye. If it is gone, you know your station has a hit, and there is subterranean termite activity.
Once termites are detected, a termiticide can be sprayed in the porthole on top of the monitoring system for direct application to termite galleries.
The Red Eye Termite Monitoring Station is a unique, safe, and cost-effective way to prevent termites from reaching the home or structure. It significantly reduces the time and effort required to inspect the property for signs of termite activity.
Tools Needed
To use the Red Eye Termite Monitoring Station, you will need to install it with the help of a power drill and a 2" auger bit. You will also need Fipro Aerosol to inject the Red Eye into the porthole when termites have been detected.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how many Red Eye Termite Stations you need to put around the perimeter of your home or structure by measuring your entire perimeter. Install Red Eye Termite Monitoring Systems 8 to 10 feet apart, about 5 feet from the structure's drip edge. You will know how many stations you need based on your measurement findings.
- Step 2: Install the Red Eye Station by drilling a hole using a 2" auger bit. Drill to the correct depth to accept the station's body so that the top dome is flush to the ground.
- Step 3: Determine if termite activity exists by looking down and checking for the dropped red eye. If the red eye has fallen from view, you know you have termite activity. Spray termiticide like Fipro Aerosol into the porthole at the top of the monitor for direct application.
- Step 4: Within 30 days of applying termiticide, replace the Red Eye Termite Monitoring System with a new station to continue monitoring the area.
Where to Use
Red Eye Termite Monitoring Stations can be used anywhere on the ground, around homes, and in building structures. They should be placed in areas with excessive moisture, such as around window unit A/Cs, water hydrants, and other areas conducive to termite activity.
When to Use
Red Eye Termite Monitoring Stations can be placed in the ground at any time, preferably before termites have reached the home or structure.
Safety Information
Red Eye Termite Monitoring Stations are safe for humans and pets when installed and used according to the product label instructions. When injecting Fipro Aerosol into the station, make sure to have on the proper PPE for protection (gloves and protective eyewear)
Special Considerations
When installing Red Eye Termite Monitoring Stations, place them where they can be easily accessed and seen at the suggested distance from the home or building. Make sure the head of the station is flush with the ground so it does not get damaged by a lawnmower.

Q:How often should I plan to check the stations?4/25/24A:You should check them at least a few times a month to make sure there is no termite activity. When you have a successful hit, you need to use the cap to spray Fipro Foam into the station and then decide if you need to have a full termite prevention treatment. If you take a look at our DIY guide you will find this product recommendation along with others for full termite prevention and control if needed. https://www.solutionsstores.com/termites

Q:I’m a little confused. The directions say to spray into the injection port once the red eye drops. The other directions say to replace the station once the red eye drops. What order is correct?4/15/23A:Once you notice the red eye has dropped, use the injection port to apply termiticide as termites are active in that station. Eventually replace the station to continue monitoring.

Q:Why did FiPro squirt out of porthole instead of going inside termite monitoring station after red eye dropped?5/22/22A:Had the same problem. There was glue in the way, blocking the insertion of the FiPro straw. I carefully drilled into the porthole and was able to insert the straw much deeper and inject the FiPro. Mine were a couple of years old, they may have changed the construction in the meantime.

Q:I live in N.C I have a large elevated deck with pebbles below the deck. How should I apply the stations in this situation. Do I go through the pebbles til I hit soil then install? Also I have a lot of red clay, how does this effect the performance of the ( Red Eye Termite Monitor)8/6/21A:Yes, the entire stem length needs to be in soil. Clear the pebbles away and use a shovel to get through the red clay. The black plastic red eye cap should sit on top of the soil, not on top of the pebbles. Call Solutions Pest & Lawn to ask if the red clay will effect performance.
