Xcluder, manufactured by Global Material Technologies, is an excellent tool used for exclusion of rodents, insects and other pests.
This single roll is a fill stainless steel fabric that measures 4 inches by 10 feet and is a serves as an "Eco-Friendly, barrier against rodents, bed bugs, birds, bats and other pests. Simply cut out the appropriate amount and place it over gaps, holes and other points of entry to keep pests out.
Xcluder also comes in a convenient dispenser box so you can easily roll out the amount of fill fabric that you want.
Tools Needed
You will need a regular pair of household scissors, a razor knife, or a pair of tin snips to cut the fill fabric to specific lengths to suit your needs. You may even benefit from using a screwdriver to help push the Xcluder fabric in tight spaces.
How to Use
- Step 1: First, locate all spaces or voids that need to be filled and cut the Xcluder to fit these spots.
- Step 2: Measure and cut the appropriate amount of Xcluder fill fabric and place it over any possible point of entry. You could also tuck the fabric into a gap or hole. You do not have to completely fill the void; just enough to keep out the pests.
Where to Use
Xcluder fill fabric can be used in any void or space that a rodent or insect could use to enter the structure. This includes weep holes, cracked brickwork, extra space around plumbing and electrical wires that penetrate walls, around drain pipes under sinks, and voids along eaves.
When to Use
Use Xcluder fill fabric whenever you have noticed any spaces or voids around the structure. This is a great option for when a void might be too big for caulk or a different sealant to handle or where repairs might not be feasible.

Xcluder is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling and applying this product.

I have had issues with mice for many years and decided to try to close off all areas of entrance. I found Xcluder online and decided to give it a try after reading about it. The product was shipped fast and came as described. This site had the best price for Xcluder. I cut and stuffed all areas around the garage door, which is the main area they came through and also the voids in each corner of the house. We are now experiencing cold enough nights that mice would have trying entering. There has been no mice activity so far. I am very pleased. This product is tough to cut. You need either a razor cutter or very sharp scissors to cut it. it stuffs and conforms to areas nicely.

Perfect answer to our problem!
We had a problem with mice entering into the base of our mini-split unit. We tried putting mouse traps, but, since it's outside, that was totally ineffective. They were chewing the wires and nesting on the motherboard. We put 1/4 wire mesh around the unit, but wanted to make sure that it was protected if they got under it. Xcluder was the answer! I was able to put it along the base completely blocking access. It hasn't rusted at all in the couple of months that it has now been there, even in this humid climate!

Q:Can this product be stuffed inside the garage door bottom weather stripping to keep mice from chewing through? For example, using this as stuffing in your existing bottom garage door seal rather than buying Xcluder Rodent Block garage door seal for the bottom of your garage door?7/21/20A:I don’t see any reason why not as long as you can attach it so that the door still closes tightly. I would see what the price difference is and go from there. The door seal might be the better option as long as it doesn’t cost a whole lot more.

But if it's to use where wires pass through a wall and still have the covering on them then yes. The product is full of small metal fibers so use good gloves.
