Wisdom G L/N Insecticide

Wisdom G L/N Insecticide, manufactured by Amvac, is an effective granular, ready-to-use outdoor insecticide that brings broad-spectrum control against pests in turf and ornamentals. The “G” stands for granular, and the “L/N” refers to Lawn and Nursery making it ideal for use in turf, landscapes, plant beds, and around structures.

Formulated with 0.2% bifenthrin, this granular insecticide controls a wide variety of surface-feeding and soil-dwelling insect pests from fire ants and fleas to mole crickets and chinch bugs. Bifenthrin works by disrupting an insect’s nervous system, causing paralysis and death. When pests come in contact with treated areas, they quickly succumb to its effects.

Wisdom G L/N Insecticide is a reliable, broad-spectrum granule insecticide that delivers a smooth, even spread through any standard spreader. Its uniform particle distribution and easy application make it ideal for consistent coverage and professional results without complex mixing or spraying.

Tools Needed

A handheld spreader, push spreader, broadcast spreader, or rotary spreader will be required.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Wisdom G L/N Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Depending on the pest, apply 1.15 to 4.6 pounds of Wisdom G L/N Insecticide per 1,000 sq. ft. For perimeter applications, use 2.3 to 4.6 pounds of product per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions. 
• Step 2: Calibrate your spreader to the proper setting then load the correct amount of product. 
• Step 3: Spread the granules evenly across the treated area. To make perimeter applications, apply to the ground area up to 7 feet wide around and adjacent to the structure. After application, irrigate the treated area with 0.1 inches of water.

Where to Use

Wisdom G L/N Insecticide is for use on non-agricultural use sites, including lawns and building perimeters (residential, institutional, public, commercial, and industrial sites), athletic fields, recreational areas, parks, and cemeteries.

When to Use

Make applications before or during active infestations on days when rainfall is not expected for 24 hours after application.

Safety Information

Wisdom G L/N Insecticide is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling and applying this product. 

Keep people and pets off treated areas until application is completed or, if irrigated, until the treated area has dried.

Special Considerations

Do not apply directly to impervious horizontal surfaces such as sidewalks, driveways, and patios except for a spot or crack and crevice treatment.
