Up-Star Gold Insecticide, manufactured by United Phosphorous, is a powerful insecticide solution for homeowners and professionals looking to maintain and prevent insect populations within 5-7 days.

This liquid insecticide is formulated with the active ingredient bifenthrin 7.9%, which is known for its efficiency in preventing and eliminating a broad-spectrum of pests like subterranean termites, bees, and wasps.

Up-Star Gold Insecticide prevents a variety of pests from infesting and damaging structures, lawns, and food-handling establishments, thus saving time and costly damages. As a flexible use product it will control over 40 different types of pests at an economical and cost-effective price.

Tools Needed

To apply Up-Star Gold Insecticide, you will need to use a hose-end sprayer, backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, or spray rig.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Up-Star Gold Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For general indoor applications, use a 0.02 – 0.06% suspension by mixing 0.33-1 fl. oz. of Up-Star Gold Insecticide per gallon of water. General applications on lawns will use 0.18 to 1.0 fl. oz. of product in 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For ornamentals and trees, apply 5.4 to 43.5 fl. oz. of product per 100 gallons of water. Refer to the label for specific application rates.
  • Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water, add measured amount of Up-Star Gold Insecticide, then add in the remaining half of water. Shake until solution is mixed. For hose-end sprayers, add the proper amount of product then spray until the proper amount of water is mixed in.
  • Step 3: Deliver a coarse-drenching spray when using hose-end sprayers. For all other sprays, adjust the nozzle to a fine, spray pattern then spray the treated area until wet, but not the point of runoff.

Where to Use

Apply Up-Star Gold Insecticide to wood on outside of structure pests under slabs, lawn, ornamentals, trees, outside surfaces and around buildings, indoors, food handling establishments, livestock/poultry housing structures, pet kennels, and on dry bulk lawn fertilizers.

It may also be applied to eaves, exterior siding, foundations, garages, lawns including grass areas adjacent or around private homes, duplexes, townhouses, condominiums, house trailers, apartment complexes, carports, garages, fence lines, storage sheds, barns, and other residential and noncommercial structures, patios, porches, refuse dumps, and soil.

When to Use

Apply Up-Star Gold Insecticide during spring through mid-summer when pest activity is low. Make applications on days when rainfall is not expected for the next 24 hours after application.

Safety Information

Up-Star Gold Insecticide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
