Apex Cockroach Gel Bait
Apex Cockroach Gel Bait
Apex Cockroach Gel Bait is manufactured and sold by Solutions Pest & Lawn and is an insecticide gel bait designed to kill roach infestations such as German, Smokey brown, American, Oriental and other species of cockroaches.
Unlike other gel baits, Apex is made with 11 different attractants that help reduce the chances of bait resistance. Apex Cockroach Gel Bait can be used in residences as well as in transportation vehicles, hotels, restaurants, airplanes, and more. It is also made without using common food allergens, which makes it safe to use in highly sensitive areas.
It may take up to a couple of hours for cockroaches to die. This is ideal as it allows time for the cockroach to return to the nest and spread the lethal bait to others. Apex Cockroach Gel Bait is an effective, easy, and safe way to eliminate disease-carrying roaches from your home or business that will not break the bank.
Tools Needed
Tools are not required for the use of Apex Cockroach Gel Bait as it comes ready-to-use. However, you will want to wear gloves for skin protection.
How to Use
- Step 1: Thoroughly clean and sanitize areas being treated using water to eliminate competing food sources before applying the bait. Clean up and remove all secondary food and water sources, like pet food or water bowls. Sweep and vacuum the floors, then wipe down surfaces with warm water to remove any grime. For best control, cockroaches must have no alternative food or water sources available. Household cleaners or detergents will deter roaches from consuming the bait.
- Step 2: Calculate the square footage of the area you want to treat. You can do this by measuring and multiplying the length and width together (length x width = square footage). This will determine the amount of Apex gel bait you will need to cover the area. The amount of product you want to use is dependent on the species. To control small roaches like German cockroaches, you will need to apply 3 drops, or approximately 0.0047 oz. per square yard. To control larger roaches like the American or oriental cockroaches, you will apply 5 drops, or approximately 0.0071 oz. per square yard.
- Step 3: Remove the plug from the reservoir and replace it with an applicator tip. Using the plunger, push the gel through the syringe as a rounded pea-size drop. Use Apex Cockroach Gel Bait as a spot or crack and crevice treatment indoors or outdoors to control cockroach activity. Apply near roach harborages or where else you have observed cockroach activity. Possible placements include under baseboards, under sinks, countertops, cabinets, and where pipes penetrate the wall. To avoid stains and for easy cleanup, we recommend you apply drops of the bait gel onto index cards. Baited cards can be used to treat tight spaces like underneath appliances where cockroaches may harbor.
- Step 4: When finished, remove the applicator tip and replace the plug. Leave your bait placements and check back every 1 to 2 weeks to reapply as needed. You should expect to see a reduction in roach activity within 5 days.
Where to Use
Apex Cockroach Gel Bait can be used in and around residential, commerical, and industrial structures, including warehouses, motels, hotels, apartment buildings, schools, homes, office buildings, aircrafts, ships, and trains. This product may also be used in food and feed handling establishments, but you may not apply this product on surfaces where food or feed is handled or prepared.
Do not apply this product where insecticides have recently been sprayed, and apply only in areas that are not easily accessible to children and pets.
When to Use
Apex Cockroach Gel Bait can be used as often as needed when cockroaches or cockroach activity has been spotted. Since this product contains attractants, it is most effective to treat active infestations and should not be used for preventative control. Apex bait placements are effective until they are dry, and it is recommended to check your placements every 2 weeks to replenish or to be cleaned if dry.
Safety Information
Apex Cockroach Gel Bait is safe to use around pets and children when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling or applying this product.
Use only in areas not easily accessible to children and pets.
Special Considerations
When applying bait gel insecticides, it is often more effective to apply several pea-size drop applications rather than fewer large-sized drop applications. Numerous smaller bait placements provide more opportunities for cockroaches to feed on the bait than fewer larger placements.
Apex Cockroach Gel Bait is an effective bait gel that will help you get control of your cockroach infestation quickly. Most active infestations cannot be controlled through the use of one product. Typically, you will need residual insecticides, an insect growth regulator, or IGR, and an insecticidal dust to gain full control over a cockroach infestation.

Q:How long should u wait after insecticides to put down bait? My apt sent exterminators and in my opinion they did a horrible job . I need a better solution and I came across a YouTube video with your products. They sprayed and I’m not sure where but since they left I see more cracks n crevices from mice and more roaches!!5/23/22A:This stuff works. Once you put it down you see the roaches dying immediately. The best part is that it continues to work. The live roaches eat the dead roaches and the pregnant roaches babies are affected you just got to keep up with it German roaches are hard to get rid of whatever you continue with this product I guarantee you will see a huge difference in less than a week. Good look, Roach heaven! LOL
