This product is a Restricted Use Product and you are required to have a Certified Applicator's License to purchase this product.
Trizmet II Herbicide, manufactured by Drexel, is a dual-action herbicide that can be broadcast or incorporated for the control of broadleaf and grassy weeds in corn and sorghum crops.
The active ingredients Atrazine 33.1% and Metochlor 26.1% work together as a photosynthesis inhibitor that causes yellowing and browning and starts immediately on roots and shoots and a seeds shoot growth inhibitor that stops seeds from germinating.
Trizmet II Herbicide can be used for pre-plant through post-emergent applications and is safened for corn.
Tools Needed
To use Trizmet II Herbicide, you will need to mix the product into the sprayer of your choosing such as a backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, or a professional spray rig for large-volume applications.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Trizmet II Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, you will need to measure the length and the width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take your square footage and divide it by 43,560 sq. ft. (square footage /43,560 sq. ft. = acre). Make sure to shake the 2.5-gallon bottle of Trizmet II Herbicide before dispensing the product. For an early pre-plant application in corn in Texas you will need 3.2 to 3.8 pints of Trizmet II Herbicide per a minimum of 5 gallons of water per acre. For more specific application rates and restrictions please refer to the label.
- Step 2: Fill your selected sprayer tank with half of the required amount of water and then add in the measured amount of Trizmet II Herbicide. Fill the sprayer the rest of the way with the remaining water. Close the lid and shake it till the product is well mixed.
- Step 3: Spray the targeted weed with the Trizmet II Herbicide solution, making sure to get even coverage via a fan spray setting.
