Traction Fungicide
Traction Fungicide is a powerful systemic and contact fungicide that prevents, protects, and performs against turf diseases in golf courses.
04/21/26
Traction Fungicide, manufactured by Nufarm, is a superior, dependable summer fungicide that promotes lush, dark green, healthy turf in golf courses by controlling and preventing harmful turf diseases.
It combines two powerful active ingredients fluazinam and tebuconazole, which deliver preventive and curative control, offering fast knockdown and long-lasting protection against more than 20 diseases across greens, tees, fairways, and roughs.
Traction Fungicide is a flexible, broad-spectrum fungicide concentrate that packs a punch against turf diseases while being gentle on cool-seasoned and warm-seasoned golf course turf. This product provides versatility and performance, especially when disease pressure is unpredictable and customers demand healthy, green turf.
Tools Needed
A handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or spray rig will be needed.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Traction Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Apply 1.3 fl. oz. of Traction Fungicide per 0.92 and 3.03 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For acreage applications, use 57 fl. oz. of product per 40 to 132 gallons of water per acre. Do not apply more than six applications at 1.3 fl. oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. (57 fl. oz. per acre) per year.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until the solution is well-mixed.
- Step 3: Ensure even coverage over the treatment area. Immediately after the fungicide is applied, irrigate the area with sufficient water to move the active ingredient down into the crown and active root zone of the turf. A second application may be made after 21 days.
