Tordon 22K Herbicide, manufactured by DOW/CORTEVA, is a effective post-emergent herbicide that controls broadleaf weeds, vines, and woody plants in rangelands and pastures.
Features picloram as its active ingredient, which gives it complete control over weeds like chicory, wild carrot, and bitterweed.
Tordon 22K Herbicide manages the most troublesome weeds with various rates, which helps controls new budding weed growth or large established infestations.
Tools Needed
Tordon 22K Herbicide can be applied with a backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, or spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Tordon 22K Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). General applications will use 1/10 fl. oz. of Tordon 22K herbicide per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer the label for specific application rates.
- Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water, add measured amount of Tordon 22K Herbicide, then pour in the last half of water. Shake the tank until well-mixed.
- Step 3: Ensure even coverage of the treatment area until wet, but not to the point of runoff.
Where to Use
Tordon 22K Herbicide can be used for rangeland and permanent grass pastures, fallow cropland, Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) acres, non-crop areas including forest planting sites, industrial manufacturing sites, rights-of-way such as electrical power lines, communication lines, pipelines, roadsides, railroads, and wildlife openings in forest and non-crop areas.
When to Use
Apply Tordon 22K Herbicide when weeds are actively growing and not stressed by drought or other conditions.
Safety Information
Tordon 22K Herbicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Do not allow people or pets to enter treated areas until sprays have dried.
