Todal Nematicide/Insecticide, manufactured by CSI, is a emulsifiable concentrate that helps to reduce damage to golf course turf grass roots from pests like nematodes and other conditions such as drought.

Formulated with the active ingredient abamectin 1.9%, a mixed formulation of nerve poison known as avermectins. These poisons effect the listed pests central nervous system causing it to suffer from paralysis then eventual death. This active ingredient does not work immediately meaning that the pests will have enough time to travel back to their colony to spread the product effect further to ensure complete elimination.

Todal Nematicide/Insecticide provides flexible application rates and season-long control of golf courses to treat various nematode infestations without excessive applications.

Tools Needed

To apply Todal Nematicide/Insecticide, you will need to use either a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or a professional spray rig for large volume applications.

Do not apply this product through any type of irrigation system, aerial application, or any ultra-low volume spray system.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Todal Nematicide/Insecticide to use by calculating the square footage of the treatment site. To find this, measure the length and width of the treatment site and follow the formula (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 = acre). Todal Nematicide/Insecticide can be applied between 16 to 24 oz. of product per 87.12 gallons of water per acre for bermudagrass mites and light infestation of turf-parasitic nemdatodes. For heavier infestations of turf-parasitic nematodes, apply 24 to 57 oz. of product per 87.12 gallons of water per acre. Do not apply more than 228 oz. of product per acre per year.
• Step 2: Fill the selected sprayer tank halfway with required amount of water, add the measured amount of Todal Nematicide/Insecticide, then pour in the remaining half of water. Agitate the sprayer until solution is even mixed.
• Step 3: Spray the turf until wet with 0.1 inches of irrigation. Adjust the nozzle until it produces a coarse droplet, but avoid excessive run-off. Irrigate with 0.1 to 0.5 inches of water within 1 hour of application to move the product through the thatch. Retreat for turf-parasitic nematodes when 21 to 28 days have passed after the first treatment. A second application for bermudagrass mites may be made when 14 days have passed after the first application.

Where to Use

Todal Nematicide/Insecticide may be used on golf course greens, tees, and fairways.

This product cannot be applied to golf course roughs, residential turf, sport fields, or commercial turf.

When to Use

Use Todal Nematicide/Insecticide when turf is well-established and is first experiencing nematode or bermudagrass mites. Apply early in the morning while grass is wet with dew or irrigate the area prior to application and when rainfall is not predicted to occur within 48 hours of application.

Do not apply this product on turf under heat or moisture stress.

Safety Information

Todal Nematicide/Insecticide is safe to use around children or pets when used according to the product label instructions. Always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing or spraying this product.

Do not re-enter treated areas until sprays have dried.

Special Considerations

Turf treated with Todal Nematicide/Insecticide should not be used for grazing or feed turf grass clippings from any treated areas to poultry or livestock.
