Terravue Herbicide, manufactured by DOW/CORTEVA, is a powerful solution for managing unwanted vegetation in rangelands, permanent grass pastures, and non-crop areas.

Its active ingredients inhibits the growth of targeted plants by disrupting their essential metabolic processes.

Terravue Herbicide offers versatility in controlling both annual and perennial weeds, making it an ideal choice for various weed management needs.

Tools Needed

Terravue Herbicide can be applied with a backpack sprayer or spray rig.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Terravue Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). General applications will use 2.85 oz. of Terravue Herbicide per 10 gallons of water per acre. Refer the label for specific rates.
  • Step 2: To prepare the spray, add about half the required amount of water in the spray tank. Then, with agitation, add the specified amount of Terravue Herbicide and other herbicides, if tank mixing. Finally, with continued agitation, add the rest of the water and additives such as adjuvants, surfactants or drift control and deposition aids. Apply the spray mixture the same day it is prepared while maintaining continuous agitation.
  • Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of weed leaves with Terravue Herbicide, but not to the point of runoff. For optimum uptake and translocation of the herbicide, avoid mowing, haying, shredding, burning, or soil disturbance in treated areas for at least 14 days following application.

Where to Use

Terravue Herbicide can be used for rangeland, permanent grass pastures (including grasses grown for hay*), and Conservation Reserve Program (CRP); non-crop areas for example, airports, barrow ditches, communication transmission lines, electric power and utility rights-of-way, fencerows, gravel pits, industrial sites, military sites, mining and drilling areas, oil and gas pads, non-irrigation ditch banks, parking lots, petroleum tank farms, pipelines, roadsides, railroads, storage areas, dry storm water retention areas, substations, and natural areas (open space) for example, campgrounds, parks, prairie management, trailheads and trails, recreation areas, wildlife openings, and wildlife habitat and management areas including seasonally dry flood plains, deltas, marshes, prairie potholes, or vernal pools; including grazed areas in and around these sites.

When to Use

Apply Terravue Herbicide when weeds and woody plants are actively growing or before they appear.

Safety Information

Terravue Herbicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
