Termidor HE Termiticide
Termidor HE Termiticide
Termidor HE Termiticide is an effective non-repellent termiticde that creates enhanced termite protection with less product, smaller trenches, and less drilling.
Termidor HE, manufactured by BASF, is a breakthrough termiticide that ensures at least 5 years or more of termite prevention and elimination in or near structures.
Made with the active ingredient Fipronil, Termidor HE uses a unique “Transfer Effect” to eliminate termite colonies. The HE in Termidor HE stands for High Efficiency. This means that it is formulated to reduce time and labor by at least 50% per treatment, with reduced application volumes, shallower treatment depths, and smaller trenches.
Termidor HE Termiticide enhanced formulation results in faster and less disruptive application around buildings due to its ability for drill holes to be spaced further apart.
Tools Needed
To apply Termidor HE Termiticide, you will need either a handheld pump sprayer, a backpack sprayer, or a spray rig for large volume applications.
For use as a termite trench treatment, you will need a pickaxe or shovel to dig the trench, and a bucket with at least a 3 gallon capacity to mix and apply the Termidor.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Termidor HE Termiticide you will need to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For termite trenching, measure the perimeter of the structure in feet. Termidor HE Termiticide can be mixed between 0.8 fluid ounces per gallon of water to 1.6 fluid ounces per gallon of water depending on the desired dilution ratio. For most applications, we recommend using 1.6 fluid ounces of Termidor HE per gallon of water for a 0.125% dilution. For termite trenching, you will need 2 gallons of Termidor dilution to treat 10 linear feet.
- Step 2: For termite trenching applications, mix 1.6 fluid ounces of Termidor HE Termiticide per gallon of water in a bucket up to 2 gallons. It is easier to use a 3 gallon bucket so that it will not be filled to the brim and willl help prevent spilling. To create a 2 gallon solution, you will need 3.2 fl. oz. of Termidor (1.6 fl. oz per gallon of water).
- Step 3: For termite trenching applications, dig a trench around the structure’s perimeter 4 inches wide and 2 inches deep. Hang on to the displaced soil as it will be used to backfill the trench after application. Because you will be applying 4 gallons of Termidor solution per 10 linear feet, it is helpful to create a dam with the soil every 10 feet of trench to section off each 10 foot stretch. Pour your finished Termidor solution in each 10 foot stretch. Then backfill by replacing the displaced soil. Be sure to pack the soil down for adequate distribution.
Where to Use
Termidor HE Termiticide can be used to treat pre and post-construction of commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential structures and utility enclosures. It can be used on exterior surfaces, in voids, exterior crawl spaces, perimeter trenches, and under concrete slabs.
When to Use
Apply Termidor HE Termiticide on calm days when rain is not in the immediate forecast for both treatment and prevention of termites.
Do not treat water-saturated or frozen soil.
Safety Information
Termidor HE Termiticide is safe to use around pets and children when applied according to label directions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Q:I see 2 gallons termidor he at of 1.6 oz per gallon x2 3.2 oz for each 10 linear feet. Is that per depth of foundation. I have a commercial building with a 36” footing. Does this mean I need 6 gallo s per 10 LF?4/6/24A:We recommend using 1.6 fl. oz. of Termidor HE per 1 gallon of water to create a 1 gallon finished dilution (0.125%). Then if your building is complete in construction apply 2 gallons of finished dilution per 10 linear feet per foot of depth by trenching and rodding into the trench or trenching alone along the exterior foundation.
