There’s nothing quite as frightful as getting a late night snack from your kitchen, and from the corner of your eye, seeing a rat or mouse, moving through the floor to hide behind the kitchen cabinets.

Seeing that first rat or mouse can bring up a lot of questions. Did the rodents get to your kids’ toys? Are they gnawing on electric cables? Will they bring even more pests with them (hello, rat mites)? Are those droppings you found near your box of cereal?

All these questions can make any homeowner feel uncomfortable in their own home. Which is why you must take immediate action after seeing or finding your first sign of a rat or mouse infestation.

At Solutions Pest and Lawn we have created a 100% Guaranteed Mouse Control Kit and a 100% Guaranteed Rat Control Kit when dealing with mice and rats.  The kits, like all of the 100% Guaranteed Kits, work fantastic on targeted pests and work incredibly well time after time. They are the product of numerous field tests and experience that not only treat your home indoor and outdoors, but also provide prevention tools for future infestations.

These kits have been battle-tested and proven by Entomologists to work under all circumstances. Which is why, like all Solutions Pest and Lawn products, comes with a 100% money back guarantee which should be proof enough of the kits caliber of performance.

One of the products found in these kits is Eratication, which is one of the strongest rat and mice baits found in our store. Compromised of .005% Diphacinone, this powerful rodenticide creates internal bleeding on rodents and is powerful enough to be used indoors and outdoors, preferably with a temper bait station (which you can buy here). This product has been exclusively picked by Entomologists and has been proven and tested thoroughly to always provide optimal results. Like all of the products created by Solutions Pest and Lawn, it comes with a 100% money back guarantee which should attest to its high performance.

However, there are a number of other products for rodents found in our store like Terad3 Blox Rodenticide, one of the finer choices when it comes to rat or mice bait control.

Created by Bell Labs, this rodenticide block bait is the newest formula on the market when dealing with rats and mice. Combining the most recent advancements in bait formulation, its active ingredient, Vitamin D3, works to create hypervitaminosis (or vitamin poisoning) that calcifies the rodents’ organs and ultimately lead to death.

Unlike single-dose anticoagulants, which tend to have higher toxicity levels1, Vitamin D3, is an alternative solution for dealing with rats and mice, and may prove more effective when dealing with anticoagulant-resistant rats and mice.

Vitamin D3 also has the added benefit of causing less secondary poising in the unlikely case that your dog, cat, birds, or protected wildlife were to ingest or nibble on one of the rodents.

This rodenticide is a great choice because rodents will usually cease to consume after they have ingested a toxic dose, which could be a small nibble, helping you save time, bait, and money.

This rodenticide is effective against a variety of rats and mice. Specifically, Norway rats, roof rats, and house mice

Labeled safe for use in residential areas, commercials areas, and agricultural facilities, this rodenticide is a great choice for treating the perimeter outside and inside your house. So whether you have a rodent problem in your home, office, or farm, this rodenticide should do the trick.

One of the great features of this product is its durability in all weathers, which unlike other competitors, will hold its consistency in warmer temperatures (in temperatures as high as 200 degrees), high moisture areas, and areas where mold may occur.

The dense and tightly packed consistency of this product also prevents translocation of the bait and features no whole seeds that could make it easier for the bait to fall apart.

This Rodenticide comes in two sizes to serve both residential and commercial areas. The 4-pound pail is adequately sized for home and residential use, while the 18-pound pail works best in commercial and agricultural facilities.

Before beginning to place the product around your home, take precaution to wear gloves.

Troubled areas (where the mouse or rat droppings have been sighted, small holes and cracks in walls, between small openings behind or close to appliances) should be first identified to have a good starting point where blocks can be placed around the perimeter or inside your house.

Cleaning your house and putting food in hard to reach places where mice and rats can’t reach it will not only discourage these pests, but give you a winning edge by diminishing their food sources, and forcing them to feed on the bait.

Ideally, a no tamper bait station works best with the product (click here to buy a mouse bait station) so the mouse and rats won’t be hesitant to try it out, and your pets won’t be enticed for a taste.  However, the product stills works even without a bait station.

For Norway Rats and Roof Rats, you’ll want to place about 2 to 8 blocks per area, separating between 15 to 30 feet from each other. You’ll want to maintain a fresh supply of blocks for 10 days until there is no longer activity of recent feeding by these rodents.

For House Mice, place 1 block per area, separating the blocks between 1 to 12 feet of each other. It is recommended, that you place two blocks in areas that point to high mouse activity for best results. Maintain a fresh supply of blocks for 15 days until there is no longer feeding activity on the baits by mice.

Once you dealt with the rat or mouse infestation in your home, you should take care of not leaving foods in kitchen counters, practice good hygiene and ensure to properly clean your home to discourage another rodent infestation.

This rodenticide provides users with an alternative solution to anticoagulant based baits, has a lower level of toxicity, and its highly dense structure ensures it won’t break apart at the first bite. All in all a great product that could be the answer to your rodent problem.

Why do you have to replace the block once it has been nibbled?
It says to "reduce contamination", but contamination of what....?
SLK on Jun 19, 2017
Norway and Roof Rats: Use 2 to 8 bait blocks per placement. Space placements at intervals of 15 to 30
feet in infested areas. Maintain an uninterrupted supply of fresh bait for 10 days or until there no longer are
signs of recent feeding on bait by rats.
House Mice: Use 1 bait block per placement. Space placements at intervals of 8 to 12 feet in infested
areas. Two bait blocks per placement may be used at points of very high mouse activity. Maintain an
uninterrupted supply of fresh bait for 15 days or until there no longer are signs of recent feeding on bait by
house mice.
FOLLOW-UP: Replace contaminated or spoiled bait immediately. Wearing gloves, collect and dispose of all
dead, exposed animals and leftover bait. To prevent reinfestation, limit sources of rodent food, water, and
harborage as much as possible. If reinfestation does occur, repeat treatment. Where a continuous source of
infestation is present, establish permanent bait stations and replenish as needed.

You do not want to contaminate with chemicals or if the bait starts to mold or mildew. Do not need to replace nibbled bait.
