Terad3 Blox, manufactured by Bell Labs, is a rodenticide bait block for controlling both rats and mice. This product combines the most recent advancements in bait formulation with its active ingredient, Vitamin D3 0.75%, which works to create hypervitaminosis (or vitamin poisoning) that calcifies the rodents’ organs and ultimately leads to death.

Unlike single-dose anticoagulants, which tend to have higher toxicity levels, Vitamin D3 is an alternative solution for dealing with rats and mice, and may prove more effective when dealing with anticoagulant-resistant rats and mice.

Vitamin D3 also has the added benefit of causing less secondary poising in the unlikely case that your dog, cat, birds, or protected wildlife were to ingest or nibble on one of the rodents. Terad3 Blox are a great choice because rodents will usually stop feeding after they have ingested a toxic dose, which could be a small nibble, helping you save time, bait, and money.

Tools Needed

To use Terad3 Blox you will need to use a bait station for safety reasons.

How to Use

Placing Rat and Mouse Bait Station

  • Step 1:Identify troubled areas (where the mouse or rat droppings have been sighted, small holes and cracks in walls, between small openings behind or close to appliances) to have a good starting point where blocks can be placed around the perimeter or inside your house.
  • Step 2: Place Terad3 Blox in bait stations, then place bait stations near areas of rat or mouse activity. For Norway Rats and Roof Rats, you’ll want to place about 2 to 8 blocks per area, separating between 15 to 30 feet from each other (Use 1 block per area for mice between 1 to 12 feet).
  • Step 3: Maintain a fresh supply of blocks for 10 days until there is no longer activity of recent feeding by these rodents.
  • Step 4: Wearing gloves, collect and dispose of all dead, exposed animals and leftover bait. If reinfestation does occur, repeat treatment. Where a continuous source of infestation is present, establish permanent bait stations and replenish as needed.

Where to Use

Labeled safe for use in residential areas, commercials areas, and agricultural facilities, Terad3 is a great choice for treating the perimeter outside and inside your house. So whether you have a rodent problem in your home, office, or farm, Terad3 should do the trick.

When to Use

Terad3 Blox can be used when you are dealing with rodents that have trespassed in your building and are doing damage. This can happen any time of the year but is especially common in fall and winter periods.

Safety Information

When using Terad3 Blox Rodenticide according to the product label, it is safe to use around humans and pets. To ensure children, pets and innocent wildlife do not come in contact with Terad3 Blox Rodenticide, use tamper proof bait stations.

Special Considerations

Terad3 comes in two sizes to serve both residential and commercial areas. The 4-pound pail is adequately sized for home and residential use, while the 18-pound pail works best in commercial and agricultural facilities.

  3. Q:Why do you have to replace the block once it has been nibbled? It says to "reduce contamination", but contamination of what....?
    6/19/17
A:APPLICATION DIRECTIONS: Norway and Roof Rats: Use 2 to 8 bait blocks per placement. Space placements at intervals of 15 to 30 feet in infested areas. Maintain an uninterrupted supply of fresh bait for 10 days or until there no longer are signs of recent feeding on bait by rats. House Mice: Use 1 bait block per placement. Space placements at intervals of 8 to 12 feet in infested areas. Two bait blocks per placement may be used at points of very high mouse activity. Maintain an uninterrupted supply of fresh bait for 15 days or until there no longer are signs of recent feeding on bait by house mice. FOLLOW-UP: Replace contaminated or spoiled bait immediately. Wearing gloves, collect and dispose of all dead, exposed animals and leftover bait. To prevent reinfestation, limit sources of rodent food, water, and harborage as much as possible. If reinfestation does occur, repeat treatment. Where a continuous source of infestation is present, establish permanent bait stations and replenish as needed. You do not want to contaminate with chemicals or if the bait starts to mold or mildew. Do not need to replace nibbled bait.
