T-Nex Plant Growth Regulator
T-Nex Plant Growth Regulator
T-Nex Plant Growth Regulator, manufactured by Quali-Pro, is a micro-emulsion concentrate (with an active ingredient of 12% Trinexapac-ethyl) used to control the rate of growth and quality of cool and warm season turf grasses. T-Nex is primarily used as a liquid plant growth regulator to control some of the turf's color quality, lateral stems, and root mass development.
T-Nex PGR is easy to measure and use in the care of regulating turf grasses and lawns. T-Nex is formulated as a micro-emulsion so it will mix completely with water, and it can be used as a tank companion to other pesticides and liquid fertilizers.
Because T-Nex is a plant growth regulator, it reduces the rate of warm and cool season grass growth, minimizing the need for edging and mowing turfgrass. It also helps to withstand the stress of seasonal heat.
T-Nex Plant Growth Regulator is also durable as it will not easily wash off with rain after 3 hours of application.
Tools Needed
T-Nex can be applied with a Handsprayer, Hose End Sprayer, Backpack Sprayer or Spray Rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much product you will need by measuring the area's square footage or acreage. To do this, measure the length and width of the area to be treated, and then multiply them together to get total square footage. To find the acreage, take the square footage and divide by 43,560. Mix rates will vary on the targeted weed and treatment area. Residential and commercial cool-seasoned turf, use 0.60 oz. of T-Nex Plant Growth Regulator per 0.5 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Residential and commercial warm-seasoned turf, use 0.10 oz. of product per 0.5 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft.
- Step 2: To mix, fill your sprayer halfway with water, add the required amount of T-Nex based on your treatment area, then fill your sprayer the rest of the way with water. Close the lid and shake to ensure an even mix.
- Step 3: Apply the spray mixture to the turf area, making a uniform application. Spray the turf to the point of wet, not run off. Allow the application to be completed at least 3 hours before rain for greater results.
Where to Use
Quali-Pro T-Nex Plant Growth Regulator can be used on warm and cold seasonal turfs such as Golf Courses, Rough Grass Areas, and established property of lawns, commercial and residential turfgrass, and other residencies such as Golf Courses, Sod Farms, and under developed turf.
When to Use
Apply Quali-Pro T-Nex during dry or humid days, when rain is not predicted. For best results, the spray mixture must be completed for at least three hours before rain or irrigation is applied to actively growing turf.
Safety Information
This product is safe to use around children and pets when applied following label directions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying.
Special Considerations
Because Quali-Pro T-Nex requires foliar contact, you want to make sure you sufficiently treat the turf area. The spray mixture will not soak completely into the area, but the mixture will need to rest on the surface area for accurate results.
