How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Surflan Flex T&O Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For warm-seasoned turf, apply 1.25 to 1.90 fl. oz. of Surflan Flex T&O Herbicide per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Depending on the length of control you want in ornamentals, use 1.5 to 3.75 fl. oz. of product per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions. 
• Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until the solution is well-mixed. 
• Step 3: Broadcast the solution evenly across the treatment area. After application, irrigate the treated area with 1 inch or more of rainfall, sprinkler, or regular water. If weeds begin to emerge, a shallow cultivation to a depth of 1 to 2 inches will destroy existing weeds and place Surflan Flex in the zone of weed germination.

Where to Use

Surflan Flex T&O Herbicide can be used in ornamentals, turf, Christmas tree plantations, and non-cropland areas and industrial sites.

Do not apply to cool-seasoned turf.

When to Use

This product can be applied in the spring for summer annual grass and broadleaf weed control, and in the fall for winter annual broadleaf weed control.

Safety Information

Surflan Flex T&O Herbicide is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Keep people and pets out of the treated area until 24 hours have passed after application.

Special Considerations

Delay reseeding for at least 90 to 120 days following the application of this product.

For orchard crops, including citrus, pome fruits, stone fruits, and tree nuts, apply product only as a strip treatment in the tree rows; do not apply to row middles or drive rows.
