Summit Mosquito & Gnat Barrier Concentrate
Summit Mosquito & Gnat Barrier Concentrate
Summit Mosquito and Gnat Barrier, manufactured by Summit Chemical, is a liquid concentrate product used to control persistent outdoor pests in trees, shrubs, cool-season grass, and warm-seasoned grass.
This products main active ingredient permethrin 2.5%, provides a quick elimination of insects and long lasting control to enjoy outdoor areas surrounding your home without the disturbance of biting pests such as mosquitoes.
Summit Mosquito and Gnat Barrier is a convenient and easy to use insecticide that can reduce the chances of coming across harmful diseases from pests such as Deer Ticks, which carries Lyme Disease.
Tools Needed
To use Summit Mosquito and Gnat Barrier, you will need a hose-end sprayer or handheld pump sprayer. It is recommended to use a handheld pump sprayer as this will lessen drift during application and easily treat crack and crevices. For hose-end sprayer applications, you will need a spray container to attach to the garden hose.
Not for use in outdoor residential misting systems.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Summit Mosquito and Gnat Barrier to use by calculating the square footage of the treatment area. To find this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet and multiply together (length X width = square footage). For tank sprayers, mix 1.28 oz. of Summit Mosquito and Gnat Barrier per 1 gallon of water.
- Step 2: Fill your handheld pump sprayer with half the amount of water, then add the measured amount of Summit Mosquito and Gnat Barrier, and the pour in the remaining half of water. Secure the lid to the spray tank and shake to ensure an even mixture.
- Step 3: Adjust the spray tank nozzle to produce a fan-spray setting to avoid drift. Spray the top and bottom of leaves until the point of run-off. When spraying outdoor building surfaces do not go past 3 feet in height. Repeat applications as re-infestations occurs.

Q:How do you apply3/4/24A:With either a handheld pump sprayer or hose-end sprayer, apply the Summit Mosquito & Gnat Barrier Concentrate to the top and bottom of listed foliage until wet, but not the point of runoff. You may also treat cracks and crevices of outside surfaces like screens, doors, window frames or wherever these insect may enter the house. Also treat surfaces around light fixtures on porches or other places where these insects may land or congregate. If you are going to spray around your structure we recommend using pump sprayer for finer sprayer patterns.
