Strobe 2L Liquid Fungicide
Strobe 2L Liquid Fungicide
Strobe 2L is manufactured by Quali-Pro and is a liquid fungicide that that can prevent and cure fungal disease on turfgrass. Strobe 2L contains Azoxystrobin, an active ingredient that is highly systemic and can be transported upward into the plant, protecting the plant from disease development from the roots to the tips of the leaves. Use Strobe 2L as a standalone foliar spray or mix it in a tank with other pesticides to get rid of disease like Brown Patch, Anthracnose, Downy Mildew and others.
Tools Needed
To use Strobe 2L, you can use either a backpack sprayer or a hand-pump sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Strobe 2L you will need for your application by calculating the square footage of the area you wish to treat. To do this, measure (in feet) the area length and width and multiply the two values (length x width = square footage). Strobe 2L should be mixed at a rate of 0.38 oz. to 1.35 fl. oz. per 1 to 2 gallons of water to treat 1,000 sq. ft depending on the disease you are trying to treat. For example, if you calculated a 3,000 sq. ft. area to treat, you would need to mix 1.14 oz. to 2.31 oz. of Strobe 2L in 3 to 6 gallons of water.
- Step 2: In a hand-pump sprayer, add half of the required amount of water and then add the appropriate measured amount of Strobe 2L based on your calculations. Then fill the sprayer the rest of the way with water and agitate until well-mixed.
- Step 3: Apply Strobe 2L as a broadcast or banded spray targeted at the foliage or crown of the plant. Apply to runoff in sufficient water to ensure complete coverage of the target plant. Good coverage and wetting of foliage is necessary for best control. We recommend using a cone fan nozzle tip to get a nice even coating on the infected plant.
- Step 4: Reapply as needed every 14 to 28 days until you no longer see a disease problem. It may take up to two months of diligent treatments to get rid of the disease totally, depending on the disease type.
Where to Use
Strobe 2L is used to control diseases on turf and ornamentals on golf courses, lawns, and landscaped areas around residential, institutional, public, commercial, and industrial buildings, parks, recreational areas, and athletic fields.
When to Use
Use Strobe 2L during the growing season when conditions are favorable for disease development, particularly in the summertime when the lawn may be going through stress.
Safety Information
Strobe 2L is safe to use when applied according to label directions. Make sure to wear the proper PPE when applying this product (goggles, gloves, face mask, etc). The product is safe for pets and children if used according to label directions. After treatment, keep pets and children away from the treated area until the product dries.
Special Considerations
While Strobe 50 WG can be tank-mixed with other pesticides, it has demonstrated some phytotoxic effects when mixed with emulsifiable concentrates (EC) formulations. These effects are enhanced if applications are made under cool, cloudy conditions, and these conditions remain for several days following application.
