Southern Ag Liquid Copper Fungicide, manufactured by Southern Ag, will help prevent many common diseases such as anthracnose and powdery mildew on specific labeled crops.

Formulated liquid fungicide, Southern Ag Liquid Copper Fungicide is an effective way to treat desired plants such as fruits and vegetables before symptoms of diseases have occurred.

Southern Ag Liquid Copper Fungicide may be used alone or in combination with other registered fungicides as a maintenance spray.

Tools Needed

To use Southern Ag Liquid Copper Fungicide, you will need a handheld sprayer, hose-end sprayer, backpack sprayer, or spray rig.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Southern Ag Liquid Copper Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Specific mix rates will vary depending on labeled plant/disease. Refer to the label for the exact mix rate. For apples, apply 4-6 tsp. of Southern Ag Liquid Copper Fungicide in 1 gallon of water. For fireblight control on apples, apply 1/2 - 1 tsp. of product in 1 gallon of water. For beans, peas, and lentils, use 2-6 tsp. of product in 1 gallon of water per 500 sq. ft. or mix specified rate in 1 gallon of water then apply 2 gallons of mixed solution per 1,000 sq. ft. To control algae in ornamental lawns and turf, apply 10 fl. oz. of product in 5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For ornamentals, use 2 teaspoons of product per gallon of water. Do not apply more than 460 tsp. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. per year for ornamentals. Do not apply more than 80.0 fl. oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. per year for turfgrass.
  • Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add the specified amount of Southern Ag Liquid Copper Fungicide, then pour in the remaining half of water. Maintain a consistent agitation until the product is fully mixed with water and during the application process.
  • Step 3: Thoroughly spray the area just to the point of runoff with mixed Southern Ag Liquid Copper Fungicide, including upper and lower surfaces of foliage.

Where to Use

Southern Ag Liquid Copper Fungicide can be used on listed fruits, vegetables, live oak, and turfgrass. It may also be used on labeled ornamentals in container, landscape and outdoor ornamental planting or on ornamentals in home greenhouses and shadehouses.
