Southern Ag Brush Killer
Southern Ag Brush Killer is a strong herbicide that kills hard-to-control vines, brush, and broadleaf weeds, prevents stump regrowth, and provides long-lasting control across non-crop residential areas.
09/13/25
Southern Ag Brush Killer, manufactured by Southern Agricultural Products, is a reliable, easy-to-use weed killer that eliminates tough brush, vines, woody plants, and broadleaf weeds for homeowners and land managers seeking fast, effective, and long-lasting vegetation control.
Its active ingredient is Triclopyr, a systemic herbicide that is highly effective on woody plants, vines and other foliage such as boxelder, poison ivy, poison oak, oxalis, and more. Thanks to its ingredient, Southern Ag Brush Killer moves throughout the plant once absorbed, killing it down to the root. This ensures applicators get long-lasting results instead of temporary knockdowns.
Southern Ag Brush Killer is a powerful systemic herbicide specifically formulated to kill vines, control many varieties of brush and broadleaf weeds, and even prevent sprouting on stumps. Unlike many heavy-duty herbicides restricted to professional use, this product is approved for outdoor residential use, giving homeowners powerful, effective control over tough brush, vines, and woody plants without special licensing.
Tools Needed
A hose-end sprayer, backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, spray rig, or paint brush will be needed.
How to Use
- Step 1: Before using, always read the label carefully. For foliage sprays, mix 8 to 16 tablespoons (4 to 8 ounces) of Southern Ag Brush Killer in enough water to make 1 gallon of mixed spray. Apply at the rate of one gallon of mixed spray to approximately 500 sq. ft. of area. To killl stumps and prevent sprouting, apply the product undiluted to cover the freshly cut surface.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, then pour in the remaining amount of water. Close the tank lid and agitate until the solution is evenly mixed.
- Step 3: Spray directly onto the leaves and stems until thoroughly wet but not dripping for foliage sprays. When treating vines, be sure to cut the vine first and cover the fresh cut surface with undiluted product. Do not allow this product to contact desirable vegetation during applications.
Where to Use
Southern Ag Brush Killer can be around homes, cabins, buildings, trails, fences, walkways, rights-of-way, and other non-crop areas.
Do not apply this product directly to, or allow drift to grapes, vegetable crops, flowers, ornamentals, or other desirable foliage.
When to Use
Apply when weeds and brush are fully leafed out and actively growing on days when rainfall is not expected to occur within 24 hours of application.
Safety Information
Southern Ag Brush Killer is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Do not allow people or pets to enter the treated area until the sprays have dried.
Special Considerations
For hard-to-wet plant surfaces, we suggest using a surfactant to increase success.
