Smith Multi-Use Backpack Sprayer
Smith Multi-Use Backpack Sprayer
Smith Multi-Use Backpack Sprayer, manufactured by the Fountainhead Group, is a easy to use heavy duty electric 4 gallon backpack sprayer featuring a rechargeable 18V/ 2.1Ah Lithium-Ion Battery and charger to provide up to 4 hours of spraying without the need for consistent manual hand-pumping.
With its ability to release up to 50 gallons of spray through its kink resistant hose makes this sprayer durable to consistent use and reduce product waste with its professional shut-off capability. To further reduce application time, this electric backpack sprayer also includes 6 spraying nozzles to readily adjust for different liquid application products.
Smith Multi-Use Backpack Sprayer comes equipped with a pre-set spraying pressure of 40 PSI allowing for effortless product applications from a distance of 34 feet along with its ability to manually turn off the pump when not spraying.
Tools Needed
No additional tools are needed as the Smith Multi-Use Backpack Sprayer comes with a 21" stainless steel wand, 18V/ 2.1Ah Lithium-Ion Battery, charger, padded back harness, 6 spraying nozzles (adjustable brass, jet stream, foaming, max volume fan (brown), high volume fan (red), low volume fan (yellow)), carry handle with wand storage cups, heavy duty kink resistant hose, leak resistant cap, check valve, viton seals, and 25 PSI pressure regulator.
How to Use:
- Step 1: Determine how much product to use by calculating the square footage of the treatment site. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply (length X width = square footage). To find acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acre).
- Step 2: Remove the battery from the Smith Multi-Use Backpack Sprayer in order to charge prior to use. Make sure the Power Switch is set into the OFF (O) position. Open the battery compartment by pushing down on the Door Latch located at the top of the door and swing the Door open and downward. Depress the Battery Button (located on the top rear surface of the battery when installed) and life the battery approximately 2 inches until it released from the Battery Dock. Remove the battery from the battery compartment.
- Step 3: Fully slide the charger body onto the battery. The light on the Charger Body should flash red twice to indicate the Battery is connected. The light will then change to flashing green to indicate it is correctly charging. When charging is complete the light will remain green and stay on constantly. Charging time will vary depending on Battery condition at the start of charging. Charging time for a 2.1 Ah battery should not exceed 3.5 hours. Charging time for a 4.2Ah Battery should not exceed 8 hours.
- Step 4: Open the cap to the tank then fill with the appropriate amount of product needed according to its label instructions. Once all product materials have been added and mixed then twist the cap until secure.
- Step 5: To power on the Smith Multi-Use Backpack Sprayer, set the power switch into the ON (I) position and ensure the battery is inserted into the battery dock. If the sprayer has not been used recently there will probably be a low, audible hum, indicating the Pump has turned on and is building pressure in the hoses. If the Sprayer was used recently, and still has pressure in the Hoses, the Pump may not turn on until the Shut-off is opened (Lever depressed).
- Step 6: To turn off the Smith Multi-Use Backpack Sprayer set the Power Switch into the OFF (O) position.
Where to Use
Smith Multi-Use Backpack Sprayer may be used for outdoor and indoor sites. This electric backpack sprayer can easily treat landscapes, and other areas within residential, public, industrial, agricultural, and commercial areas.
When to Use
Use Smith Multi-Use Backpack Sprayer for small to large pesticide applications requiring up to 50 gallons of liquid product material. When making pesticide applications, spray when air is calm with no wind or air movement to prevent chemical spray from drifting into unintended areas.

Special Considerations
