Shuttle O Miticide
Shuttle O Miticide is a highly effective miticide that contains a novel mode of action to control various mites on ornamental plants grown in greenhouses, nurseries, interiorscapes, and landscapes.
04/10/26
Shuttle O Miticide, manufactured by OHP, is a selective yet gentle miticide that helps reduce mite populations on commercial and residential ornamentals and vegetables without harming predatory mites or other beneficials. This makes it ideal for use in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs.
It contains the active ingredient acequinocyl, which belongs to the naphthoquinone derivative class of chemistry. This compound disrupts mitochondrial electron transport in mites, leading to energy depletion and death. Because this mode of action is uncommon, it’s especially useful for resistance management.
Shuttle O Miticide is a unique suspended concentrate miticide with an uncommon mode of action and broad-spectrum efficacy. This makes it a reliable choice for growers seeking effective mite management.
Tools Needed
It can be applied with a spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Shuttle O Miticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment areas. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For listed fruiting vegetables, apply 31 fl. oz. of Shuttle O Miticide per 100 gallons of water per acre. To treat listed cucurbit vegetables, use 31 fl. oz. of product per 30 gallons of water per acre. For ornamentals, apply 6.4 to 12.8 fl. oz. of product per 100 gallons of water per acre. Do not make more than two applications of Shuttle O per year for vegetables.
- Step 2: Add half the amount of water into the spray tank. Start tank agitation. Add and properly suspend the necessary amount of product before adding any other products. Agitate to ensure thorough mixing while adding the remaining required water.
- Step 3: Apply as a full coverage spray to the foliage to the point of drip. If another treatment is needed, wait until 21 days have passed from the first application for vegetables and 14 days for ornamentals.
Where to Use
Shuttle O Miticide can be used in commercial greenhouse and shadehouse on ornamental, floral, foliage, and ornamental nursery crops; on ornamentals in outdoor landscapes around the perimeter of residences, businesses, schools, and public property; and on ornamentals in non-residential interiorscapes.
Not for indoor residential use.
When to Use
Make application as soon as mite population reaches threshold infestation levels.
Avoid treatments when rainfall is expected to occur within the next 48 hours of application.
Safety Information
Shuttle O Miticide is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
