Abamectin 0.15 EC Miticide
Abamectin 0.15 EC Miticide
Abamectin 0.15 EC Miticide is a miticide that can control plant-damaging pests like aphids, thrips, and mites. It is safe to use on plants and easy to apply.
Abamectin 0.15 EC, manufactured by Quali-Pro, is an effective miticide that delivers long-lasting control of plant-eating insects.
Abamectin 0.15 EC works through contact to keep mites, aphids, thrips, and whiteflies off your plants and ornamentals. It is an emulsifiable concentrate that is easy to mix and apply without harming plant life.
Tools Needed
You will need a hose-end sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or professional spray rig.
For smaller-sized residential treatments, we recommend a handheld 1-gallon pump sprayer or a 4-gallon backpack sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Abamectin 0.15 EC to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. You can do this by measuring the length and width of the treatment area in feet and multiplying them together (length X with = square footage). The labeled rate for Abamectin 0.15 EC is 4 to 8 fl. oz. per 100 gallons of water per acre. For small treatments, use 0.04 to 0.08 fl. oz. of product per gallon to treat 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the label for specific application rates.
- Step 2: Fill your sprayer halfway with the required amount of water and then add the appropriate measured amount of product. Fill the sprayer with the remaining half of the water. Shake well to ensure the product is appropriately agitated and mixed.
- Step 3: Apply the product according to the labeled directions in the areas where you have pest infestations. Completely cover foliage just before the point of runoff. Treat stems and trunks up to 10 feet from the ground if spraying a tree. You can use a coarse spray, drench, or broadcast.
- Step 4: Repeat application once a week for 3 weeks and then rotate to another insecticide with a different mode of action for 3 weeks for continued control.
Where to Use
Abamectin 0.15 EC Miticide is meant only for outdoor use to control pests around shrubs, gardens, and turf. You can treat areas outside residences, such as greenhouses, Christmas trees, and woody ornamentals, anywhere insects damage outdoor plants.
When to Use
Use this product if you recognize a mite infestation in your yard or if you notice flower or plant damage. This is typical during the spring and summer months when pest activity is very high.
Safety Information
Abamectin 0.15 EC Miticide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Keep people and pets out of treated areas until the spray has dried.
Special Considerations
The active ingredient, Abamectin, may lead to resistance to this chemical by the targeted pests after repeated use. To counteract this, you may need to cycle different approved pesticides.
