Secure Fungicide
Secure Fungicide is an excellent non-systemic, multi-site contact fungicide that delivers long-lasting control on golf courses.
11/04/25
Secure Fungicide, manufactured by Syngenta, is an effective non-systemic, contact fungicide that stays on the surface, forming a protective barrier that stops pathogens before they penetrate the plant.
Few fungicides provide as wide a range of disease control as Secure. From dollar spot to algae, Secure performs well under diverse turf conditions.
Secure Fungicide is a revolutionary contact fungicide that provides broad-spectrum disease control with unmatched resistance management benefits. Its unique chemistry, fast rain fastness, and excellent compatibility make it ideal for golf course superintendents looking to maintain healthy, disease-free turf.
Tools Needed
You will need either a backpack sprayer, a hand-pump sprayer, or a spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Secure Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Apply 0.5 fl. oz. of Secure Fungicide per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Do not apply more than twelve applications at 21.5 fl oz per acre (0.5 fl oz/1000 sq ft) per year.
- Step 2: Fill your sprayer tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, then add in the remaining amount of water. Close the tank lid and shake until the solution is well-mixed.
- Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of the leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. Reapply as needed every 14 to 28 days until you no longer see a disease problem.
Where to Use
Secure Fungicide is meant to be used specifically to treat golf courses.
When to Use
Use Secure Fungicide during the growing season when there are disease affecting your golf course, particularly in the summer time when the turfgrass may be going through heat stress. You can also apply it preventatively during the growing season.
Safety Information
Secure Fungicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Keep people and pets off the treated area until the spray has completely dried.
