Savate Miticide Insecticide
Savate Miticide Insecticide is an elite-performing insecticide and miticide that provides a fast knockdown, long-lasting residual, and a unique mode of action against pests on ornamentals.
04/21/26
Savate Miticide Insecticide, manufactured by Envu, is a powerful insecticide and miticide that targets all life stages of mites while also offering suppression of soft-bodied insects in greenhouses and nurseries.
This suspended concentrate contains two distinct modes of action: it disrupts mitochondrial function, shuts down energy production, and causes pest paralysis and feeding cessation.
Savate Miticide Insecticide is one of the most effective and versatile options for pest control in high-value ornamentals and production crops. With its dual-action formula, broad target spectrum, and reliable performance, it’s a favorite among greenhouse growers, nursery professionals, and landscape managers.
Tools Needed
It can be applied with a hose-end sprayer or spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Savate Miticide Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Apply 2 to 4 fl. oz. of Savate Miticide Insecticide per 100 gallons of water or 3 to 6 mL of product per 5 gallons of water. Do not apply more than 2 fl oz per 100 gal per application or 4 fl oz per cropping cycle to chrysanthemum, Shasta daisy, snapdragon, impatiens, verbena, lantana, gerbera daisy, or marigolds. Do not apply more than three times per season.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the sprayer tank lid and shake until the solution is mixed.
- Step 3: Thorough coverage of all plant parts is required for optimum performance. Allow at least 24 hours to pass after application before watering treated areas.
Where to Use
Savate Miticide Insecticide can be used for shrubs, trees (including non-bearing fruit and nut trees), flowers and foliage plants in greenhouses, shade houses and plants grown in field and container nurseries.
When to Use
Apply when pests first appear and prior to leaf damage or discoloration on days when rainfall is not expected within 48 hours after application.
Safety Information
Savate Miticide Insecticide is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Keep people and pets out of treated areas until 24 hours have passed after application.
Special Considerations
Savate has been evaluated for phytotoxicity on a wide range of ornamental plants. However, due to the large number of species and varieties of ornamental plants, it is impossible to test every one for tolerance to Savate. The professional user should determine if Savate could be used safely prior to commercial use.
