The Santa Fe Compact70 Dehumidifier, manufactured by Santa Fe, is a small American made dehumidifier designed to quickly eliminate moisture within tight spaces like basements and crawl spaces.

Designed with a horizontal configuration, this easy to use dehumidifier is able to completely absorb moisture from low to tight spaces. Once installed this product is able to remove up to 70 pints of moisture per day and 5 pints per kilowatt hour. This compact dehumidifier is 55 pounds, 21 inches wide, 12 inches tall and 12 inches deep and is able to cover up to 1800 square feet.

Santa Fe Compact70 Dehumidifier is an effective and versatile product that can easily be placed between floor joists for convenient hanging installation. This helps to avoid flooding damages, but also clears up excess humidity and moisture to prevent mold and mildew growth and insect invasions.

How to Use

• Step 1: Place the Sante Fe Compact70 Dehumidifier in a upright position and ensure the approved indoor area is not directly in water or near standing water and has access to a Ground Fault Interrupter outlet. Do not install this unit with the intake or exhaust within 1' of a wall or other obstruction. Avoid directing the discharge air to other people.
• Step 2: Use the power knob to set the dehumidifier to your desired humidity level. You should then set the fan to run continuously or when the dehumidifier is on.
• Step 3: When air enters the dehumidifier, it passes through a washable pre-filter and a Merv 8 filter that captures any potentially harmful articles. The air moves through the system and released through the back.
• Step 4: To drain, attach the included drain hose and set it at a downward or upward angle (this will require a Santa Fe Condensate Pump; sold separately).

Where to Use

The Santa Fe Compact70 is intended for use in crawl spaces or basements: however, the unit can be placed in almost any residential setting where dehumidification is desired and the indoor area has protection from rain and flooding. Use in non-residential applications and pool areas may void warranty. The Santa Fe Compact70 is designed to operate in temperatures between 49° and 95°F. This unit works most effectively between 56° and 95°. In order to efficiently control humidity levels, the area in which the dehumidifier is to be operated must be free of water intrusion or excessive fresh (outside) air infiltration. Before installing the Santa Fe Compact70, water intrusion and air infiltration problems should be addressed.

Special Considerations

The Santa Fe Compact70 Dehumidifier has helpful accessories like a duct kit or a hanging kit to hang it in an area so it is out of the way as well as a remote sensor. These are all sold separately.

Do not restrict airflow in to or out of the unit. This may cause the unit to overheat.

Be sure the unit is properly supported if hung.
