Rhapsody Fungicide
Rhapsody Fungicide is a broad-spectrum, preventative biofungicide that brings sustainable disease control to a wide range of plants, from turfgrass and ornamentals to fruits, vegetables, and herbs.
12/11/25
Rhapsody Fungicide, manufactured by Bayer, is an effective contact biofungicide that colonizes plant surfaces, outcompetes pathogens, and secretes antifungal and antibacterial metabolites that suppress and kill disease organisms.
With more and more pathogens becoming resistant to conventional fungicides, Rhapsody offers a unique mode of action to break resistance cycles. With Bacillus subtilis strain QST 713 as its active ingredient, this product offers powerful protection against many common foliar fungal and bacterial diseases all while being OMRI-listed for organic production.
Rhapsody Fungicide is a game-changing fungicide that uses naturally occurring soil bacteria to control diseases. It reduces the chemical load while maintaining efficacy for turf professionals and average growers.
Tools Needed
It can be applied with a hose-end sprayer, backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, or spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Rhapsody Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For foliar sprays on select agricultural greenhouse crops, apply 3 to 8 quarts of Rhapsody Fungicide per 100 gallons of water. For foliar applications on ornamentals, trees, shrubs, landscape and flowering plants, use 2 to 8 quarts of product per 100 gallons of water. To treat lawns, turf, sod, golf courses (greens, tees, fairways and roughs), and ornamental turf, apply 2 to 10 fl. oz. of product per 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill tank halfway with water. Add Rhapsody to the tank and begin agitation. Fill tank with the final volume of water and continue agitating until the solution is mixed.
- Step 3: Apply as a foliar spray or drench. Maintain good coverage, especially on dense foliage. Be sure to spray the top and bottom of leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. For drench applications, thoroughly soak the growing media through the root zone.
Where to Use
Rhapsody Fungicide can be used indoors and outdoors.
Sites such as ornamentals, landscape plants, greenhouse vegetables, trees, shrubs, turf, lawns, sod, golf courses (greens, tees, fairways, and roughs), seedlings, and conifers may be treated. It can also be used in field applications, greenhouses, glasshouse, nurseries, shade houses, landscapes, interiorscapes, seedling production sites, and forest seedling production sites.
When to Use
Apply early, before the disease develops on days when rainfall is not expected to occur.
Safety Information
Rhapsody Fungicide is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Keep people and pets out of treated areas until sprays have dried.
Special Considerations
Rhapsody is compatible with a wide range of additives. Since the product is primarily a protectant, thorough coverage of all above-ground plant parts is required for effective product performance. To improve plant surface coverage, add a nonphytotoxic adjuvant surfactant to spray tank.
