Renown Fungicide
Renown Fungicide is a powerful, broad-spectrum fungicide that offers superior control of a wide variety of fungal pathogens on golf courses, sod farms, commercial lawns, and more.
04/21/26
Renown Fungicide, manufactured by Syngenta, is a dual-action fungicide that provides both contact and systemic protection, making it a go-to solution for both preventive and curative applications for professionals.
Its combination of azoxystrobin (a strobilurin) and chlorothalonil (a multi-site contact fungicide) provides systemic and contact protection, offering powerful prevention and knockdown of over 20 turf and ornamental diseases. This unique formulation makes it ideal for turfgrass disease management programs, especially on golf courses, sod farms, and sports fields.
Renown Fungicide is a reliable systemic and contact fungicide that delivers excellent knockdown of key turf diseases even during wet conditions. For strong, consistent disease protection that delivers visible results fast, Renown Fungicide is a solution worth investing in.
Tools Needed
It can be applied with a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, hose-end sprayer, or spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Renown Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Depending on the disease, apply 2.5 to 4.5 fl. oz. of Renown Fungicide per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For acreage applications, use 12.25 pints of product per 50-90 gallons of water per acre. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, then pour in the remaining amount of water. Close the tank lid and shake until the solution is well-mixed.
- Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of plant leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. Reapply 14 to 28 days later.
Where to Use
Renown Fungicide can be used on golf courses, lawns around commercial and industrial buildings, and professional and collegiate athletic fields.
Do not use on home lawns and turf sites associated with apartment buildings, daycare centers, playgrounds, playfields, recreational park athletic fields, athletic fields located on or next to schools (i.e., elementary, middle, and high schools), campgrounds, churches, and theme parks.
When to Use
Begin applications when conditions are favorable for disease infection, prior to disease symptom development.
