Pystol Misting Concentrate

Martin's Pystol Misting Concentrate, manufactured by Control Solutions, is an insecticide misting concentrate designed for use with automatic misting systems and foggers in barns and outdoor residential yards. Pistol is formulated with pyrethrins and permethrin, which delivers a quick knockdown and offers superior control of flying insects.

Pystol is used to control a wide range of flying insects, such as mosquitoes, flies, biting midges, and even fleas. Pystol Misting Concentrate mixes with water, and one 2.5-gallon jug will create up to 55 gallons of misting solution. This concentrate can also be used for surface spray applications.

Tools Needed

You will need a misting system, fogger, or handheld pump sprayer. This product works best on mosquito misting systems.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine which treatment method you will use and how much Pystol Misting Concentrate you will need by first calculating the square or cubic footage of the area you wish to treat. To find square footage, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet, then multiply them together (length x width = square footage). For cubic feet, multiply the length, width, and height (length X width X height = cubic feet). For misting systems, the rate of Pystol Misting Concentrate to use 2.5 gallons of concentrate with 52.5 gallons of water to make 55 gallons of solution. For handheld sprayers, this product should be diluted at a rate of 6 to 12 fl. oz. per 1,000 sq. ft. of area.
• Step 2: Based on your calculations, fill your misting system or sprayer with the appropriate amount of product. Ensure it is mixed well before applying.
• Step 3: Apply the solution through your misting system or a handheld sprayer where your target pests frequent. Adjust the spray nozzles to deliver a fine mist or fog to the entire area to be treated.

Where to Use

This product can be used indoors and outdoors around homes, yards, pool areas, patios, lawn areas, barns, dog kennels, and zoo animal quarters.

When to Use

Use Pystol Misting Concentrate when you have an infestation of flying insect pests like mosquitoes, gnats, flies, and midges that you want to control. Pystol Misting Concentrate should also be used when automatic mosquito misting systems need a refill.

Safety Information

Pystol Misting Concentrate is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product. 

Do not allow people to be in treatment areas while misting.

Do not use it in food-handling establishments. Wait until the product has dried (up to 4 hours) before allowing pets and children back into the treated areas.

Special Considerations

Application is prohibited directly into sewers or drains or to any area like a gutter where drainage to sewers, storm drains, water bodies, or aquatic habitats can occur. Do not allow the product to enter any drain during or after application.
